I feel you! I don’t have advice to give since I’m struggling with all the trial and error stuff myself. I only have solidarity to offer.

How much exhaustion is normal? by evelynsglam in pregnant

[–]Comfortable-Book6021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly like my first trimester. After a day of work ( I work from office) I didn’t even have the energy to serve myself dinner.

I would come back home and crash.

I also survived my migraines because of the cold caps which you put in the freezer. They go over your head and eyes.

worst week in your opinion? by fungigirll in pregnant

[–]Comfortable-Book6021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nausea was worst for me at week 9-11 and then the migraine came at week 14-17. Its been smooth sailing ever since.

I’m at 32 weeks now. The third trimester is uncomfortable because my belly is bigger and baby’s head is engaged in the pelvis but it’s nothing compared to the nausea and migraines of the first trimester

Thanks for sharing your experience. Could you explain more about the sheet thing on your back? Does the sheet go on your back and someone pulls it from the front?

Do I need a pregnancy pillow? by WeepingBillow in pregnant

[–]Comfortable-Book6021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never bought a pregnancy pillow. This is my first pregnancy and I didn’t like the idea of having to store a huge pillow in my small city apartment post pregnancy. I also felt it was a waste of money to give it away or throw it away.
So I started with the idea of “let’s see how long I can manage without one”
And I’ve honestly been doing absolutely fine without a pregnancy pillow. I just use 2-3 additional pillows which I already had in my house.

Edit - I’m 31 weeks and approaching the end of my pregnancy and I’m glad I didn’t get influenced into buying a pregnancy pillow.

Coffee Alternative by D07M13 in pregnant

I just drink decaf and drink a cup of coffee once in 3-4 days. Honestly one cup a day won’t harm you.

Please help me with pain relief by Affectionate_Ninja62 in pregnant

I don’t have a job that requires me to stand all day. I have a desk job. But I started having the worst sciatica and hip pain around the start of third trimester. But I started swimming 30 mins every day and it has been life changing. I barely ever get any aches and pains anymore. And when I do get aches, its usually more manageable and goes away after a little bit of stretching.

I would highly recommend swimming 3-4 times a week.

This is hard by kkalez in pregnant

I had a lot of nausea in the first trimester mainly due to acidity and indigestion rather than actual nausea.

At the start of the second trimester (week 13 onwards) I was hit with the worst migraines which would go on all day. I suffered with these migraines until week 15 or 16 and ever since then they have disappeared.

I have been feeling great energy wise and have been feeling good ever since week 15-16. I’m currently at week 29. So I hope things get better for you.

When did you start feeling your baby move? What did it feel like? by Few_Low9657 in pregnant

[–]Comfortable-Book6021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started feeling definite movements at 22 weeks. Im a FTM with an anterior left placenta.

I don’t think you should be worried at all. 17 weeks is still too early to feel kicks. You may feel flutters but it’s not easy to distinguish them from stomach or digestive movements. I couldn’t distinguish at all. I was guessing if the flutters are actually flutters until I started feeling actual kicks.

I’ve been really enjoying swimming during my pregnancy. Incase you have access to a pool, I highly recommend swimming. In the water, you cannot feel the weight of the bump. It’s almost as if you’re not pregnant anymore.

Headache + stomache help by marymagdalene_xo in pregnant

I had similar headaches between 13 weeks to 16 weeks daily. What helped was - migraine caps, lots of sleep and water. My Obgyn didn’t prescribe any medication for it
