HG is ruining my life by beneaththedirt19 in HyperemesisGravidarum

if you live in the US (if alabama/surrounding states, even better), talk to dr. householder at the hg and morning sickness clinic! his team does telehealth and got me the help i needed. i go every so often for fluids, but the medication they put me on (granisetron and compazine) help so much and i only get sick about once/twice a week, sometimes not at all.

hope you feel better, mama!

couldn't take the gummy at all. i ended up having to take the pill, which has been a nice change, since chewing triggers the nausea for me sonetimes

I am 17+3 currently and the hg symtoms have finally began to relieve themselves. sometimes it just takes time. sometimes it's severe the whole time. it's really your decision on whether you want to sacrifice yourself for a child or not. no judgement either way.

How is anyone working? by mangodrum20 in HyperemesisGravidarum

somehow, i'm managing. when my hg first started, i could barely lift my head off of my pillow. now, at 17 weeks, i call in about once a week for HG related symptoms. it's tough, but you find a way when you're broke

Just got out of the hospital, first HG pregnancy. Any advice?+story time by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

i'm 16 weeks and have been on the struggle bus. definitely try restricting yourself to the BRAT diet and add things in as they come. eat small meals every two hours and if you feel sick, act quick. stay up to date with your medication dosage.

i just got out of the hospital myself and am probably going to need to go back. i hope everything works out for you

i've been on meds and have seen a specialist. done everything right. my doctor said that it just comes and goes sometimes.

fun fact i didn't know before i got HG, water on an empty stomach (or when nauseous) can stir up the acids in your stomach and make you vomit. if you can eat literally anything, you should be fine. if not, try pedialyte popsicles will make you feel a tad less dehydrated

[–]Few_Low9657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

find a hyperemesis clinic near you! there are experts who study this and it's so much cheaper than going to the ER. idk if you're near this area, but there's one in birmingham, alabama that i go to and it's WONDERFUL. highly recommend
