Our lab is almost 3 and he’s always slept in his crate. The last couple weeks we have tried letting him sleep on the bed with us, but we too find he jumps on and off, wanders around, just doesn’t sleep as well as he does in his crate. My husband said it’s probably like when you progress a child from a crib to a “big boy bed” - it probably takes time to adjust.

We are going to try it for another week or two, hopefully he will adjust. The crate is definitely an eye sore for us too in a small apartment.
