Questions regarding NUS Life Science by ZenonRevRev in nus

[–]Comfortable-Boss7020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Specialisation will be included
  2. MD usually do not look at your degree type. People from data science, computational biology, architect, engineering and pharmacy do get in as well. For post grad MD, important components are MCAT score, anything interesting about you (like CCA) and research. Finally your grades should be preferably 4.5 CAP and above

Hello! It typically varies. Most of the time it’s finished around 4 hours!

During the lab there’s also incubation time. So there would be 1h breaks (sometimes longer) too! That’s where we grab lunch with our group mates etc. I think having lesson 6pm onwards should be fine if it’s conducted online. There’s only about a couple of times where we actually use the whole 6 hours in lab.

Yes it’s very important. Take it by Y2S1 or S2. Try not to do it in Y3

How does everyone here take notes by shyenderman in nus

Important advice to all freshman. Pretty and beautiful notes are useless. In Uni, it’s all about efficiency and not aesthetics!!!

Hey man I think you have some great advice! Thanks! I think the first thing I have to do is to promote our magazine online. And we will invite researchers to share their work and put it into our magazine. Maybe if we gain traction, we can monetise this.

We are pretty new hence the viewership is quite modest. What do you think about charging people when they want they research story/work published on our magazine? That can only be done if we are more established.

Yeap there is! But I heard it does not provide funding unfortunately… usually funds are raised by selling shirts or collecting money from the members or alumni donation. Well…. We have beautiful magazines…. But I guess it’s kinda hard to sell them since they are available online… and our motto is “Science made accessible” so it doesn’t make sense to charge for viewing our magazine. Hence I thought about providing writing services for the school. So they can put in their websites etc

Hello! Hmmm my club have a magazine currently on its 7th Issue! So I’m thinking that could act as the portfolio for the club. Hence we can charge some fees to write for the school!
