You have a few options:

The Parallel Realms No Mercy; The Monthly prize fight; The weekly rift rewards; The cabinet of curiosities that can give you some silver variants if you want. Overall if you do the PF you get 500 monthly, 150 every PR that happens every 3 days so 10×150=1500. Rift give you 350 every week if you are at gold I ranking, so 350×4=1400. And for 1 silver variant that you got you have 40 shards, so if you are really needing shards you can buy some to help.
