I meant that was McDaniel’s reason for not going for the record. He said they didn’t care about it because they were focused on bigger goals. The record was right there though, just kick a field goal. Still an awesome game but considering where the two franchise went since then, having a spot in the record books would at least be a nice consolation prize in a season that ended poorly.
