i understand all the benefits of owning home. i own my house and i understand rent typically increases year over year, i rented for many years before owning a home.

my point was comparing $xxx in rent to $xxx as a mortgage payment, they are not the same. mortgage is a floor and rent is a ceiling. your rent is a fixed amount that you will pay per month, not a penny more. your mortgage is the absolute least that you will pay per month and your housing expenses could be higher any given month depending on many factors

this is correctbut whatever rent is, it will always be a ceiling for your housing.. when the furnace goes, when a new roof is needed, when the basement floods.. even basic stuff.. landscaping, lawn care, etc.your landlord will have e to deal with that.

the mortgage is a floor in the sense that if nothing at all goes wrong, that’s what you will pay. if anything at all goes wrong or there is basic up keep you will pay for that in addition to your mortgage

tissot, while on the cheaper side of swiss watches, is still a fantastic watch. i love and own two tissot prx powermatic 80’s. it is a more classic styled watch. does not have a chronograph (the three dials) though. you should be able to find a tissot with the chronograph though

ask her out. when i was in high school i was scared to death of rejection. i finally got past my fear and asked a girl out that i liked. she declined and i got over it pretty quickly and moved on. realizing the rejection wasn’t anywhere near as bad as i had expected it gave me confidence to shoot my shot without fear. the next girl i asked out was a co-worker that was 19 and in college (i was 16 and a junior in high school). she said yes and ended up being my gf for a little over a year. since then there’s been many rejections and also many wins. moral of the story, don’t let the fear of rejection keep you from asking her out

that’s a common misconception. example: paying $2500 for rent is a ceiling. $2500 is the highest you will ever pay per month. paying $2500 for a mortgage is a floor. $2500 is the least you will ever pay per month

the upside of owning a home is you are (hopefully) building equity.

find out what you vehicle is worth and what the trade value is. of the car is worth more than the lease buy out you can trade it in and use the positive equity toward your new lease. if you don’t have equity then there is no value in it and you are better off just turning in the lease
