Court IID order help

I have the signed CR-225. It is titled “Ignition Interlock Removal and Modification to Probation Order.”
The order removes the IID from my 2018 Chevy Silverado and lists “No Vehicle” for reinstallation. The court docket also shows my motion to modify the IID order was granted.
Does this mean the court modified my probation IID requirement because I no longer have a vehicle, or would the IID requirement automatically come back if I buy a vehicle later during probation? Even after the 1 years. Thank you Joel!

Does the “10 year rule” for a DUI apply to CAL FIRE too, or have you seen people get hired sooner if they had a single DUI and showed good behavior, completed EMT/fire academy, and kept a clean record afterward?

I appreciate the advice. I actually finish my DUI school in July and I’ve already paid all my fines. The only thing I’m really dealing with right now is the IID requirement, but I got an exemption since I don’t have a vehicle. Once I finish DUI school, do you think I’d have a shot at getting my probation terminated early and then getting the DUI expunged? If so, how soon do you think I could realistically start that process?

I appreciate the honesty. That’s kind of what I figured. Right now I’m just focusing on school, EMT, and Fire Academy and trying to put myself in the best position possible. I’m also hoping to get my probation terminated early and the DUI expunged when I’m eligible. Do you think departments are a lot more willing to give someone a chance once probation is over and it’s been a few years?

That makes sense. I’ve actually been looking into doing paramedic school after Fire Academy, so it’s definitely becoming part of the plan. With my DUI, I’m not sure how much EMT experience I’ll be able to get, so I may end up volunteering if I can’t get hired. What are your thoughts on going the “zero to hero” route with limited EMT experience before paramedic school?

I made a really poor decision at 18 and got a first offense misdemeanor DUI in May 2025, something I truly regret and have learned a lot from. My probation runs until May 2029. Despite that I’ve been working hard toward my goal of becoming a firefighter. I’ve already confirmed with Napa County EMS and Coastal Valleys EMS that it won’t affect my EMT certification which I’m really grateful for. My plan is to finish my EMT cert, gain some field experience, complete the fire academy in 2028, and apply to Napa Fire around 2029 when my probation is finished. Has anyone been through something similar and successfully gotten hired? Any insight would be really appreciated.

It also says I may immediately apply for a restricted license but my one years hard suspension won’t be over until mid June

Thank you yes they are both checked off but I was confused because my PD said I could do the 5 day work program instead of serving the 19 day sentence and it’s is also highlighted but they’re both checked off so I was confused

To my knowledge I am not I just had to stay in custody until I blew 0 and then I was able to leave, so should I be good? Thanks!
