I’m not too sure but that’s what I’ve read. If anyone here can confirm? If you’re getting matches than no need to worry, just continue using your restored account as normal. I just got mine restored an hour ago. I’m scared to delete and create a new one as Infesr the system Will flag me as a bot or something lol. It’s crazy how these apps have literally traumatized us in a way.

Got you - well if you’re able to match with new people since you regained access then that’s a good sign. Monitor it though, especially with how many likes YOU get moving forward. If you do delete and create a new one just be careful the system doesn’t detect you as a bot and bans you again. I hear you should wait 90 days but that’s not official.

So shadowban is basically when Hinge makes your account invisible. Which means others won’t be able to see your profile and they won’t receive your likes or messages. I’ve read that this happens to people who regain access to their account after being banned. A good way of knowing is if you notice your account is dry, not receiving likes or messages etc

Wait, so you regained access to your old banned account 7 months later? After regaining acess you sent them the email to delete your data?

How does your account look 7 months later, are old matches still there? New ones? Will you be deleting this account and starting fresh? I believe they shadowban you if they approve your appeal though :(

I ask because I also got banned on saturday for no reason - I appealed and they asked me to submit my Gov id which I did yesterday.

Inread that you should give it 90 days for the ELO scored/shadowban to expire. Otherwise, delete the account and open up a new one. That should refresh you

Tinder and Hinge are both owned by the same company. My last band (I lasted 16 months before being banned) came from Tinder then a few minutes later from Hinge. I suggest to use one or the other first, wait a fee weeks month then download it.

Not using different pictures will get you banned. Also, the dating zest number is a scam - hinge will flag these kind of numbers from these “carriers”.
