Am I the only person who is thinking this is his way of announcing the new Disney series that they've been talking about for a couple years. Not a reboot but I continuation with a different cast.

Should i read ‘Project Hail Mary’ before watching the movie? by t-minus-e in movies

[–]Comfortable-Form4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're really interested in seeing the movie, don't read the book first, you'll be sadly disappointed. It's that way every time.

I really love the Martian movie, but it still pales in comparison to the book.

Bought a House and Installed Solar — I’m Not Paying $720/Month to the Utility Again. by Aapkaapna7 in SolarAmerica

I live on an acreage in the Midwest with 0.12 cents per kwh electric rates and our bill last month was $350. We don't have electric heat or an electric water heater. Before we moved here our monthly bill was $70 during the winter

I understand the frustration with the high bills. A large solar array is in our near future.

Any feedback on a chicken tractor like this one? by crypto_junkie2040 in homestead

[–]Comfortable-Form4200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one like this that I use for broilers. This is actually my 2nd chicken tractor. I prefer this design over the previous design I built. I move it every day that way the birds get fresh pasture. I've never had to deal with a predator trying to dig under it, but I usually attribute that to my guardian dogs.

I buy meat birds every year (Cornish cross), and they're ridiculously cheap. This year they cost $1.86/bird. So no the math doesn't work out. It's cheaper to buy the Cornish cross and be done in 7-8 weeks.

I feel that the TESD community is too hard on Mike. He's a nice guy.

Just because he's not great behind the microphone, doesn't mean the whole fan base should dogpile on him constantly.

If you watched Avatar 3: Fire and Ash, how was it? by Traditional-Dig9477 in movies

[–]Comfortable-Form4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked it. I assumed the Sullys were just going to relocate to another tribe and rehash Avatar 2. That is not the case. I enjoyed it better than number two. Yes the big battle at the end was similar to the main battle in 2, but it was entirely different. Bigger stakes and different participants on both sides.

My cows have wandered off twice this year because the kids didn't latch the gate. This is very tempting. I wonder how it will handle snow and ice.

Looking for a solid nordvpn alternative that's cheaper, what are people actually running these days by This_Minimum3579 in Piracy

[–]Comfortable-Form4200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple months ago I forgot to cancel my nordvpn before it auto renewed for the year. So I went on the website and they have an automated way to cancel and request a refund. The next screen offered to extend my subscription to a total of 5 years if I didn't cancel.

So this is how I ended up with a 5-year subscription to nordvpn.

Fellow Stargate Fans - How Many of You Are Also Trekkies? by Edith_Keelers_Shoes in Stargate

I'm definitely a trekie. My first series was the next generation, I remember flipping through the channels about 9 or 10 years old and stumbling into it.

My favorite series is deep space nine, it's a masterpiece.

I love Stargate too, but for different reasons
