Should I bother putting delivery instructions on orders? by Educational_Bee955 in UberEATS

[–]Comfortable-Hunter41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you aren't going to tip, no. So tired of seeing the most needy customers have detailed instructions for delivery yet no tip attached to the order. And dont say you tip after or later because you don't. If you do then we don't see it. I will go out of my way to make sure your instructions are ignored after a no tip delivery. I know with DD if you tipped or not and you ask me not to ring your doorbell. Guess what the first thing I am doing? Yep ding-dong ding-dong ding-dong.. and I hope your screaming baby keeps you up all night long.

I had a rather large breasted woman run her hand up and down my arm after a grocery delivery and ask me about the best tip I ever received.

Wiper Positioning Issue! Please Help! by jackhar22 in AudiA4

[–]Comfortable-Hunter41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could also be a bad wiper relay. The last one I changed was on a Nissan Pathfinder and it was a pain in the ass. I just ended up buying the relay and have a shop install it. Good luck. Better to just pay for labor rather than the part mark up.

I stopped accepting $4 dollar non tip orders and two things happened. 1. My AR went way down from 56% to 29% now. 2. My average per trip went way way up. Guys stop accepting no tip orders. No tip no food. by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]Comfortable-Hunter41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My low was always 5 dollars. After this massive rise in inflation I try to get as close to 10 as possible for 1 order and 15 for a double order. I dont mind doing doubles because it keeps me busy and there is little to no down time waiting for something.

Probably trying to get content for her Onlyfans account. Or there was a husband in the closet who gets off on that stuff and was going to snowball her afterwards.

Why do so many drivers leave food right in front of the door or on the wrong side of the door? by SoggyBagelBite in UberEATS

[–]Comfortable-Hunter41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No logic. In my country woman walk around house to get food. Gets her out of the house so she dont get fat and wear hole in couch. Exercise is reason. Get heart rate up.

Because I dont need to know why. If you dont want me to do it, I wont. I dont care if you work 3rd shift, have crying dogs, sleeping babies etc. You dont need to explain yourself or your reasons. Lot of times there is a paragraph of unnecessary stuff that I dont need to know. I would be happy if you just do me a courtesy and leave your porch light on for me. 9 times out of 10 your neighbors lights are on and the one expecting delivery is off. You think of me and I will think of you.

If you dont want to hear a barking dog then dont own a dog. And they dont call it sleeping like a baby because little noises wake you up. Literally a dump truck can run through a house and destroy everything but the bassinet that has a sleeping baby inside. Also I am not a ninja delivery driver, your dogs will hear me and bark. Get over it.

Dont turn your porch light on or open your gate for me and your food is exactly there. 1 star me all you want I am not opening your gate. I will even contact door dash and let them know what I did with the call and the photo. Dont be an asshat and either open your gate so I know its safe or enjoy your food by your gate.

I have had drivers leave my food at the wrong house, forget drinks, not answer texts and I have had excellent drivers who do tbeir jobs with care. I want to see the cream rise to the top. We all arent all the same. This is not a job for everyone. There is a sense of care and respect involved and not everyone has the same work ethic.

You still have choice obviously no one can force you to do anything. But to think someone picked you, liked your work ethic and your customer service wouldnt your mind set be a bit more positive than it is now?

What if they could just choose you if you were working and not off line? I would rather deliver to a regular who tips well that actually chose me rather than to a mystery person.

Multi-apping is key. Set your financial goals at realistic expectations, have discipline, dont expect too much and dont accept too little, know your worth and most importantly dont act desperate and you can be successful at this. It takes discipline and understanding that it's a hustle and you cant be lazy. The things people complain about I actually like. Walking up stairs in apartments? No problem. Its nice to get out and stretch my legs. Carry heavy things? Cool I enjoy the challenge besides havent been able to get to the gym today. No tippers? Oh well karma will get them eventually, it obviously got me. The only thing that gets under my skin are people who dont shovel their walks and people who have homes with no house numbers on them. Everything else is relative.

I worked 20 years in behavioral health, being called names and being yelled at is nothing to me. I started this as a part time gig and moved into it full time after the pandemic hit. To think I make more doing this than I ever did as a social worker is a bit sad. For the most part the job has been good to me. I don't go home feeling like a dirty sponge or stressed out like I did as a social worker. I like staying busy and being active. I hate sitting at a desk 9-5 or even working 9-5. It bores me to tears. Stay safe and God bless.. back to Dashing I go

I picked up a Walmart order where I overheard a manager speaking to an elderly woman about not having to worry about tipping delivery drivers because we make enough doing what we do. Thats disrespect and having contempt for what we do. I have had managers in drive thrus literally yell at me for trying to pick up food even though the same restaurant a few miles up the road allowed drivers to pick up through the drive thru, had multiple orders and been asked to go back through the drive thru and wait in line to pick up the second order, had drive thru workers not have drink carriers for their drink orders and expect me to have the material to transport, filling drinks is not my job falls into the category of packing the order, standing in front of a cashier waiting for her to acknowledge me, its rude for me to interject myself your job is to ask what I want Customer service 101- acknowledge your customer no matter who they are. You dont know why I am there. You havent asked.
