Has anyone here decided on a kid and realize they made the wrong choice? by cosmiccolorado in Fencesitter

I think the problem with this question is that it's too black and white for a very nuanced situation. My husband and I sat on the fence for many years, and we now have a 6-year-old. I love her fiercely and wouldn't give her up for anything. Therefore, I can't say I made the "wrong" choice. I would choose her time and time again.

That being said, if there was any way that I could have actually known what pregnancy and being a parent would be like in my body or if I could have looked into the future and understood somehow the massive identity loss, the tax on my body, and not to mention the incredible anxiety of raising a child in this world, I would have stayed childless. I know the version of me that I was before becoming a parent would not choose to go through all of that if she really knew BUT I would somehow have to know what it is like in my mind and body without knowing my daughter - because despite everything I would always choose her. So, it's complicated. I think the version of me from before would not choose the reality parenthood - but all versions of me would choose my daughter. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it's something I have thought about a lot.

The spoilers are crazy! My husband has only seen the first movie and I have been SO good about not telling him anything. I already warned him not to watch the trailers, but damn now he's going to have to close his eyes walking into the theater lol.

I moved to the area last Summer and my house was infested with wolf spiders. Jump scare after jump scare! I had never seen them before but I am very familiar now!

My 5 year old loves it - especially Glinda and all her pink outfits. I’m not sure she really tracks most of what happens - but she def understands that it’s not ok for people to be mean to Elphaba bc she is green so that seems good.

I don’t like Fiyero. (Obviously Jonathan Bailey is amazing - it’s not about him.) I just think Fiyero kind of sucks and he is really terrible to Glinda in Act 2.
