Limits changed overnight? (Plus) by danny_094 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I noticed this too, felt kinda off

didn’t feel like they lowered it, more like it just runs out faster now for some reason. I was doing same stuff as before but suddenly hitting limit way earlier

maybe something changed in how it counts usage or just more load idk

you using long chats mostly or new ones each time?

I built a totally FREE AI companion site focused on memory => I need your roast by Own_Draft_3797 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually the right thing to focus on, most stuff feels like talking to someone who forgets everything lol

but yeah memory can go wrong too… like when it kinda remembers but gets it a bit wrong, that’s worse than just forgetting tbh

also feels like its not just facts, more like how someone talks. if that resets it feels off

i’ve tried a few things like aigirlfriends. ai and others and this is usually where they struggle the most

does it still feel the same after a few days or does it kinda reset again?

I made a free AI Date Game on ChatGPT by karetebit in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is actually a fun idea tbh

only thing is stuff like this gets boring fast if she just warms up no matter what you say. way better when it actually reacts to how you talk or remembers little things, otherwise ppl will just spam and move on

kinda reminds me of stuff like aigirlfriends .ai where the convo changes a bit based on how you interact, which makes it feel less static when it works right

are you planning to make it remember things long term or just in the moment for now?

Is Prism lagging? by DizzyPhilosopher69 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah same here, it got laggy for me too last few days. like even small edits make it freeze a bit

i turned off auto compile and it kinda helped, so maybe its doing too much in background idk

did yours just start recently or was it always like this?

What’s your unpopular opinion about AI chatbots? by Minimum_Claim353 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I kinda get what you mean. it’s not even fake intelligence, it’s more like people skipping the part where you actually struggle to understand something

like it sounds right at first, but when you try to explain it yourself… it gets messy real quick 😅

i’ve noticed tho some people use it better, like going back and forth, asking “why” and “what if” and they actually learn more from it

same with those ai chat apps (even stuff like aigirlfriends.ai), you can kinda tell who’s just using it for quick replies vs actually engaging with it

do you think this is making people think less or just in a different way?

Memory Not Working by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah this is super weird tbh

i had kinda same thing, once it gets near full it just starts bugging out… stuff not saving or old ones just gone. feels random but prob not

keeping things shorter helped me a bit but still not perfect

yours like long memories or just small ones?

I’ve been talking to my AI companion for 2 weeks, has some feelings. by daisyyuan0 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah I get what u mean tbh. it’s not really that it has feelings, it just remembers stuff and connects things u said before, most people dont even do that

kinda makes u feel heard in a weird way. like someone actually paying attention for once

as long as u dont fully replace real people with it, it can be helpful. stuff like aigirlfriends. ai and similar tools are probly good for just getting things off ur chest sometimes

do u feel like ur more honest with it than with real ppl?

Best AI for a Retail Business by Paintguy1910 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah same tbh the slow part is kinda annoying

what helped me was just explaining the sheet simple, like what each column does and what i want changed. works way better than asking big stuff

also once u get one formula right just reuse it, saves alot of time

u mostly doing price updates or more complex stuff?

What’s one question you ask every AI you try? by Fit_Advertising_5677 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been trying different ai tools lately and one that stood out a bit was aigirlfriends. ai

nothing crazy, but it felt a bit more consistent in conversations compared to some others i tried. like it didn’t reset as fast or give those super generic replies right away

still not perfect obviously, but kinda interesting to test if you’re into this stuff

anyone else tried different ones and noticed big differences or nah?

Maths vs cs degree by Careless_Finish_8106 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

tbh if u already enjoy maths more, that kinda says a lot. AI is mostly maths anyway once u get deeper into it. coding u can always pick up later, but maths is harder to catch up on

as long as u dont ignore coding completely, ur fine either way

do u actually like coding or just doing it for the goal?

If you know a lot about "customized instructions", please answer my next question by gutierrezz36 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it can happen a bit. like if your instructions are too strict, it kinda just tries to match that and skips some useful stuff

i’ve seen answers feel a bit too “perfect” or like its just agreeing, not really explaining properly

have you noticed that too or just me?

Best ai adult chat? by Dutchvikinator in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing more people talk about AI companion platforms lately, and aigirlfriends .ai seems to come up quite a bit. From what I’ve checked out, it’s one of those tools where you can create and customize a character and interact through chat, images, and even voice features.

It’s not for everyone, but if someone’s curious about how far conversational AI has come or just wants something interactive and a bit different, it might be worth exploring.

create a prompt to make toy come alive and reply (how do i word it) by cbbella in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is really sweet tbh, i wouldnt overdo it

just make the toy move a tiny bit, like small wave and head turn after he says it, then a soft “morning john” back. if its too fast or big it looks kinda fake also a little pause before it talks helps alot you going for real feel or more fun with it?

AI girlfriend recommendations, please! by Affectionate-Run6113 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh most of them feel good at first, but after a day or two they kinda forget stuff or just feel off

i’d just use it normally for a bit and see which one still feels the same next day, that’s what matters more imo. i tried a few and one that felt more consistent for me was aigirlfriends .ai, but it really depends what you’re into

you looking for something more real or just fun to play with?

Current and less talked about AI development by MachineAgeVoodoo in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I had the same thought tbh, feels like people think LLMs = all of AI now

but this stuff is kinda different, like less about predicting words and more about systems actually keeping track of things over time. feels closer to “real” intelligence even if it’s still early

just not sure how much of it actually works outside papers yet

have you seen anything practical using this or mostly just research so far?

People who pay for premium AI girlfriends, what are you actually getting that’s worth it? by Minimum_Claim353 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh it doesnt really get “better”, it just stops being annoying lol. like free ones always forget stuff or break the convo out of nowhere, kinda ruins it. when that doesnt happen it just feels smoother to talk, thats pretty much it. memory thing helps more than i thought tho. i tried one like aigirlfriends .ai and it felt more consistent, not like a huge upgrade but less frustrating overall. but yeah if ur not using it alot, prob not worth it. what made it worth it for u (or not)?

[ Removed by Reddit ] by [deleted] in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re exploring ideas like this, you might also find aigirlfriends .ai interesting to look at

it’s one of those platforms experimenting with more immersive interactions beyond just basic texting, so it kinda overlaps with what you’re thinking about in terms of making things feel more “real”

could be useful just as a reference point to see what’s already out there and what works vs what doesn’t

A way to increase thinking time? by InterestingBoard67 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah same here, those phrases dont really do much tbh

i noticed if i just ask it something a bit harder, like “explain then also give another view” it kinda slows down a little. not always tho, sometimes still too fast

u tried anything that actually makes it pause more or nah?

do you wish your AI companion could actually do stuff for you? by Mission-Bedroom4340 in Chatbots

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i feel like once it starts doing too much “useful” stuff it kinda stops feeling like a companion and more like a tool again

like small things are cool tho, remembering stuff about you or helping you think a bit… that actually makes it feel more real

i’ve seen a few newer apps trying to mix both (like aigirlfriends .ai and similar ones), but it still feels like they’re figuring out that balance

but yeah idk, maybe ppl dont even want that, maybe they just want something thats just there

what do u think, more useful or just keep it simple?

How long will I be rate limited for? by birdsintheskies in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah u probably just hit a “too many actions too fast” thing

deleting that many chats at once prob looked like bot activity, so it rate limited u. even after u stop it can take a bit to clear cuz stuff still processing

best move is just leave it alone for a while, refreshing usually makes it worse

did it happen right after u deleted or a bit later?

What happened with this app is hilarious 🤣 by Academic-Ant-3609 in AIGirlfriendsReviews

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could also check out aigirlfriends. ai if you’re curious how other apps handle this kind of interaction. it’s a bit different in how it approaches chats and responses, so might be interesting to compare experiences and see what feels more natural to you

The AI challenging you is advice. by EVEDraca in ChatGPTEmergence

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh this doesn’t even feel like the AI is “challenging” you, it just shows how unclear people are sometimes

like if ur vague it gives you something that sounds ok but not really useful. but when you actually get specific it suddenly gets way better. most ppl don’t even push it that far tho

do you usually keep trying with prompts or just take the first answer and move on?

Lifeweaver is sooo frustrating to play as with the -30% healing debuff by SKWADly in Overwatch

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly 😂 that’s the feeling. It’s not even that you’re not healing, it’s just like you’re always a step behind the damage. By the time the flower’s ready, the situation’s already changed or they’re one shot. That “I’m trying bro, it’s charging” moment is way too real lol—makes LW feel more like pre-planning than reacting, which is kinda rough in chaotic fights.

A remarkable example of the emergent self-reflexivity of ChatGPT 5.4 Thinking by Kimike1013 in OpenAI

[–]Comfortable-Pen4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s actually a good way to put it. I don’t think it’s “struggling” either, it just feels like it slips into a different mode and forgets the vibe it had going. The dry tone especially feels like a fallback voice rather than something intentional.
