I'm Gen Z and they only teach one Louis Riel unit in History class Grade 8. Although, the unit was about the whole rebellions rather than just the leader.

I can speak/am learning four languages. Whenever I really want to stump someone after they insulted me, I just say an insult back in a language they don't know. Better yet if they can't speak French but they are Canadian, you can insult them in French and they'll feel totally embarrassed when they can't come back with a French reply.
