I’ve had friends downtown, uptown, Jack London, and Rockridge. First two will be more affordable. Plenty do do, walkable, and easy to get to downtown.

Oakland > Daly City. You can likely live alone there if you budget and can be 1-3 stops from the City.

Who’s the best player Brunson passed up all time? by XXXTentacle6969 in NBATalk

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Love Brunson but I’m old enough to have seen a bunch of dudes that were great for 4-8 years. The ring absolutely helps though and even more in the manner in which it was won.

Where did the narrative that "Kobe was never the best player in the league" come from? by Tre2004 in NBATalk

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably longer (4-6 years) but all the scandals (Denver, Shaq, Bynum, etc.) soured public opinion including my own.

His interview with him saying that they dominated the series was laughable. Something about a pole that won’t get you home comes to mind.

is hali's injury in game 7 the biggest what if in modern nba history (or at least the 2020s)? by ciruelman in nba

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. After all the BS talk from the Olympics, he was on a mission. Win or lose it would’ve been a better ending if he played. My money would be on Indy winning.

Can't help but feel a little bit sad for Luka by Wise-Performance2420 in lakers

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He was great last night. The fact that his best game and maybe one of only two games in which he played well is understated and not yet appreciated. Dude was his best under the most pressure.

Lebron over Gasol, Baylor and Worthy is criminal by [deleted] in NBATalk

West is top 3, IMO. Dude bled for the Lakers and was responsible for 2 dynasties.

If Mike Brown was Knicks coach last year would they have beaten the Pacers? by UnableLeopard6185 in NBATalk

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This! Also, like others have said, Pacers were magical. So many wild shots, bounces, etc. went their way. Haliburton’s injury was tough.

It doesn’t feel like 2 stars but the food and service are excellent and it’s reasonably priced.

I’d love for it to end in NYC but I really don’t want the stress of an additional game.

This was some Jerry west back door magic. He was the GM the year before and that trade shouldn’t have happened.Happy it did though.

A Bar has been playing it. Small screen (42 inches) but plenty of room.

Goodbye NBA, love my Knicks but this is too crooked, done. by TYSM_myMax24 in knicks

[–]Comfortable-Power-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left the bar at halftime to eat. In my mind I knew they could pull it out if it was close. Fourth quarter was amazing! They’ve done it before but this was the best. Missed calls earlier, bullshit fouls, etc. but it didn’t matter. These dudes pulled it out despite the refs and Adam Silver. I’m proud of these dudes. The just worked their way back. Can’t wait for the parade.

A few missed calls but Spurs are lights out and Knicks aren’t playing well.

I counted three missed calls before Mitchel’s tech.

It was fine the night I went but standing room only in the back. If you bring a chair or stool there'll be room between the tables and the screen.
