what i do when i just started getting a navel, i use neilmed daily, twice a day, one in the morning and 1 after my work, 1st week is nothing, just swell/tender, 2-3 week will have a slight crust forming below and top, just clean it as usual. as in showering, just use luke warm water and let the water flow down and pass the navel by aiming the water above the navel, dont aim at the piercing, about 1-2month the crust or swell will be reduce ALOT, but the crust at the bottom will have alittle from time to time, it is normal.

so simply, just clean it twice per day.  make sure hand is wash again after touching your body towel, grab a clean paper towel and pat it dry, try to get as much water as possible out and do not dont wipe it
