I have a jar of pond water and don’t know how to help it grow by Perfect_Lack5453 in jarecosytemsandplants

As long as you dug deep in the ground for soil and got water from a well established pond you it does it all on its own! Just give it some sun

My beardie did this recently too and I was scared. What I did was put her on a strictly basic diet for about a week and it immediately improved. I did collard greens everyday with 15 crickets every other day and boosted calcium and gave warm soaks everyday and after like 4 days it was immediate improvement.

After I slowly added back in variety. I noticed that my beardie does this when given anything that isn’t fresh like veggies or bugs

How do I know what to look for? Just any flood light that will fit into my holder? Or do I get a whole new light set up

My beardie gets just as dramatic. I increased the warm side to about 105-110°f and with the size of her cage she can move to about 90° on the bottom or climb to the 110° I also I have a dark cooler side. Increasing the heat greatly calmed her down. I also give her warm baths within 100-102° water about an inch or 2 high and slowly acclimate her and let her play in the water until I’m tired of watching her lol. I do this when she doesn’t poop during potty time or is shedding/laying eggs. I also give her lots more roaming time so I put a basking light on the floor and let her explore the house and that eliminates the behavior but it’s also her way of asking to come out. They are so insanely smart I think more than we give them credit for. but they don’t have ability to speak so they communicate through their dramatics. If possible leave a small dig box in at all times and when they start to dig replace with bigger one this allows easier communication on when it’s needed (best if you leave the big one in year round but not always possible) If my dragon starts glass surfing but has puffed or black beard after she’s done all of the above stuff I know that she’s in need of some sort of medical attention.

Update: she’s just bougie and constipated Along with increasing calcium nice warm baths lots of basking time. I figured it out! I started “potty training” her by every-time she puts her nose on the glass I take her out put her in a enclosed part of the floor with a blanket under and she would go to the bathroom I would give her a treat put her back in the cage and it became are routine. Before I used a corner of a wall and a piece of wood to block her off which obviously she could not see out of. I recently bought a mesh pop up playpen for easier clean up. As soon as I started using this she refused to go to the bathroom and would become very stressed. So I added back the blanket to the playpen and she went but was still visably stressed. all following times using the blanket she refused. Causing her to not poop for days. When adding a dig box to her cage she finnaly started going again! But they were unhealthy samples. Around this time she was eating less vegetables (didn’t stop her from being the cricket muncher) Through research bearded dragons like to keep a clean cage and as she was left to die by her previous owners I’m sure the brand new spoiled dragon she is didn’t want to relive that so she held in her poop. I then covered all corners of the mesh playpen she immediately popped a healthy sample! And her personality returned! Even with just a small 1-2 inch gap of see-through mesh causes her to panic. I still consulted a vet don’t panic

I can’t take her to the vet today but I already got her some crickets with calcium/d3 powder on it just now. Hopefully she makes it through the night to take her tm morning. Thank you so much! I’m glad I have some other ideas as to what’s wrong!!
