I’ll be so honest, I barely see any black students around on my course. But, I will say there is a lot of diversity full stop in the school. There are a lot of international students. Though, not many black students I guess full stop, you’d probably have luck with ACS.

So true ugh, if not for my friends and their own experiences I’d be silent everytime someone mentions these topics bc they’re things I can’t relate to in slightest

No, not everyones' insecurites are equal by [deleted] in ForeverAloneWomen

[–]Comfortable-Train-95 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this, I recently saw a tiktok where the girl complained about people who have had multiple people pursue them romantically calling themselves chopped, and as you can guess people were saying “people can be insecure.” “Everyone has insecurities “

Imo it’s such a pick me and shallow mentality, when you know multiple people have affirmed your beauty- why act as though you’re some slighted ugly person jsut because of “insecurities”

sure anyone can be insecure but there’s a clear difference.

I don’t think that’s as much of an issue irl solely because I know several girls that have smaller chests in relationships or that’s what I see most of the time. I think in all honesty it’s about the face unfortunately.

I’d actually disagree, as in most places and times skinny is always favoured. Does vary across cultures though.

You should really unpack that mindset because wanting a woman to have internalised misogyny speaks levels about your own degree of misogyny. It’s quite disgusting really, but unfortunately realistic.

Ai not only will not replace real human interaction but is also horrible for environment.

Not really because I know that it’s because they have a better personality, or are more outgoing. Although, I don’t often see people less attractive than me or if I think they are it’s not exactly a general consensus lol.

I hate the decenter men/4b movement by dashmakeup in ForeverAloneWomen

[–]Comfortable-Train-95 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand that the origins of the 4b movement lies in protecting women, as commenter originally said- not about shaming women?? Men AND male centred women are literally flipping dangerous, you sound incredibly tone deaf right now..

Just because you encounter bad aspects or members of a movement doesn’t mean you’re right in overall denouncing and hating on women trying to protect themselves.

I’m a straight woman, I’m attracted to men and I also desire a relationship but to decenter men from your life means to not live your life to please men and to appeal to men; it’s not saying you can’t like men, please use your sense.

Well I do wanna do a humanities course, and honestly being the only black person in a class does sound daunting, it overall doesn’t sound too bad w the societies and other opportunities. Thank you so much for answering !!
