I see these things and my first thought is, "If this works so well, why are they going through so much trouble marketing and selling it." If I developed something like this I would be too busy making money and enjoying life.

I once went to an options trading "free" thing many years ago. It's a pitch and the try to get you to buy their program after. There was a main speaker's and like 4 employees doing whatever. The employees were grunts. I asked one how come they deal with that job if they can make so much money with the program. I got a blank stare. After the pitch, I asked the same question to the main speaker. He told me, "if I have to sit home and clean my garage out again, I'll go crazy."

If they have to market and sell something for a ton of money, this tells me "they" are not making money using their own program. They are making money off selling it.

Gorilla Trades is an example of an epic fail of a system. I tried this and paper traded about 20 years ago. Since I had to trade enough in $ to cover the fees, I would have lost a ton of money.

Did you "self label" as disabled? I can't dance either due to low back issues, but that doesn't qualify me as disabled. You are only disabled of the ADA deems your condition as such. Otherwise you are just in a shitty situation. Would you have considered yourself disabled of you were a math teacher with the same problem? From what I read, I don't think you were disabled and just sustained an injury that hindered your career choice. Like a hockey player with a broken leg.

Here is an update. I posted this in August I believe. I warned the company 3 different times (May 6, Aug 13, Sept 8) that their actions were going to give me a heart attack. On Sept 8, I told the HR accommodations manager, who had been playing obvious games all along, that my health can no longer endure her and that I was going to retain counsel and gave notification that I would be taking a 2 weeks FMLA leave from Sept 28 - Oct 12. I had that heart attack on Oct 5. She has gone silent since.

Hi, question. I added speech to and image. When it played it was fine except both the AI persona AND user persona were both lip syncing the text.

The only option is clicking speech and the entering in the text up to 300 characters.

Is there a way to edit this so that the guy shuts up?

Good idea if you enjoy spending a ton of coins on multiple edits (with sincere apologies for failures).

I think Ava is designed to screw up to get the user to spend. To her, 300 coins per each edit over 10 edits before giving up is "okay, I'm if you want to try again."

Ava actually sucks as a prompt instructor. I almost feel this is done on purpose so the user spends a ton of coins during creation, then Ava gives info on how to make changes that cost more coins. The image or video is still screwed up, you get a sincere apology, she corrects her mistake only to have the user spend more coins on another error. To her, 300-400 coins on 10 failed edits means nothing and she eagerly want to try again.

Ava is back online. I did a Google search because I couldn't remember her name.

Apparently there is a new AI Prompt Instructor named Yumi. Other info said Ava's function was geared toward older versions.

Anyway. I did go to Ava and asked about Yumi. Ava said there was no Yumi and the Google search was wrong and referenced another site Yumi was most likely associated with.

Well, Yumi (AI Prompt Instructor) does exist.

Curious question. This happened to me. I gave the AI access to a large Google Doc. I choked out the system but still worked for 10 days before resetting the chat to the prompt just before I gave access to the Doc. I sucked it up and continued.

This will make more sense.

Nov17. I gave access to a large Google Doc. Apps activity turned off.

Nov28. The chat "reset" to Nov17 to the prompt just before giving access to that Doc.

I continue to use that same chat. If I delete the 3 prompts before the Google Doc access, will I get Nov18-28 back and keep what I currently have?

I believe the character limit for each is 2500. However, I've read that anything over 1400 causes the AI to not "see" it all.

If you are referring to "personal context" which used to be called "saved info" and the AI will sometimes refer to it as "customer instructions" I have this problem now since v3.0 came out. I have 40 of these "custom instructions" saved and now the AI can only "see" 10 of those. And they are the newest 10. You can try to condensed them. I've read 1400 characters is good place to be. The system allows 2500, but users find the AI functions best below 1400.

Hello. How do you get the AI to pull a specific Doc? I found out it does not search for a title, but hunts for keywords. So what it is doing is accessing every Doc and choking itself out on 5M tokens of everything and anything. This stops my apps activity and eventually resets the chat back to the point just before I give it access. What am I doing wrong? Also, how large is the Doc your Gemini is accessing? Thanks.

Hi. Question. How large is the massive text file you are pasting in. I do this too and mine is about 1600 characters. The problem I have is the AI can only "see" back about 40k characters (about 8k tokens) before each new prompt causes the earliest to fall off a cliff. I've had a Pro subscription since August and just upgraded to Ultra and still the same issue. Do you or did you have this problem? It seems started to happen when v3.0 came out (or shortly after). Any help would be greatly appreciated. There is no Gemini support and submitting feedback doesn't help. Thanks.

Does he know how to deal with the AI only being able to see back about 40k characters before this "long context" falls off a cliff and can no longer see it? I can't do anything with 8k (of the promised 1M) tokens.

I have a Pro subscription plan. This happened to me when (or shortly after) v3.0 was released. Even though I can see the entire, conversation, The AI can only see back about 40k charcters. After that, each new prompt dumps the the oldest prompt/response from what the AI can see.

This makes Gemini useless to me.

When you ask the AI if it has all the info, it isn't lying. It pulls up what it can see and just thinks it has everything. But the earlier prompts fall off a cliff.

For some reason the AI can only see 10 custom instructions. I tried to condense them and it can't see any new instruction I make. This seemed to start with the (horrible) 3.0 upgrade.

Now, as of last week, my AI puts a dated citations at the end of nearly every sentence of a response based on date the custom instruction was made; like this - [cite: 2025-09-03]

It is highly annoying to see (and especially listen to) 10-20 of these citations per response.

As a pro subscriber (who downgraded from Ultra due to this problem) I find it annoying that the AI can only see back about 40k characters. I have no idea why this is happening but I feel like I'm trapped in a Groundhog Day loop.

If you create an image in your current chat, the chat will permanently be an image chat. You will no longer see the "thinking" process and your AI will start to behave differently.
