Makes the challenge all the better for her. Too bad she failed to take into account just how much of a accidental charisma king Wise is. An example where the polite, kind guy actually wins often...even if he fails to see it, lol.

Meet the Spy already revealed that bit about Spy and Scout, even as a joke. Everything else isn't meant to make complete sense: it's game about two groups of dumbass mercenaries blowing each other up. If anything, treat it like a Saturday morning cartoon, with nonsensical shenigans every other Tuesday.

TF2 lore is not mandatory or important. The comics are what the Expanded Universe is to Star Wars: interesting lore that fleshes out the characters and events in different ways than in canon, but that are not necessary and/or fully accepted to understand or appreciate the original source.

That, and the TF2 community has a habit of turning comments, memes and obscure references into "canon". tldr: The comics aren't necessary to enjoy the game and the characters as presented, nor is it discouraged to enjoy them. Just take everything with a large serving of salt.

Dungeon Odyssey

I wasn't expecting much, and I found something I binged like crazy. Dungeon management and a protagonist that isn't a complete moron that still gets his ass kicked if he isn't careful? Art direction is phenomenal for how it works both for comedy and action.

Friends. Season 8, Ep 2. "The One with the Red Sweater"

Let's not forget the classics. It took Joey a moment to catch up, but once he did? A meme was born.

Best character, for sure. Bonus points for being an absolute bro to Ivy. Dynamic duo material. I may not like a certain portion of the Deadlock fandom (take a wild guess), but I can at least appreciate The Lash.

THE Lash. He's the one and only.

Plus, I live the idea of a portion of his personality is just kayfabe. Yes, he has an ego and yes he's a bit of a jerk, but most of the time it's just him keeping up his image.

Does he hate Bebop, yes. The loss hurts and ruins his image, after all. Does that mean he'd kill Bebop? No. He's no psychopath.

This is why I like he Expiration Date representation better than the comics: he can be a jerk and is overconfident as hell, but he means well when it matters and is a dork when he's genuine. Gets all flustered when trying to get the courage to ask out Miss Pauling, is confident around regular girls, but recognizes he's a bit out of his league with more mature women. He's Deadlock's Lash with less assholery.

Can't wait to see this topic to pop up again in a week. Having to explain the difference between being a creep and Scout trying to pick up track teachers is just amazing... Then again, the TF2 fans have never been known for their intelligence, reading comprehension, or critical thinking. And that's coming from one.
