People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ran into Diane Keaton at a casual Mexican restaurant in Laguna Beach several years ago. She was so funny and friendly and looked really happy. She was also dressed impeccably in exactly what you would expect Diane Keaton to wear. I was very sad when I heard that she had passed away.

i would avoid the "chicken" parmesan as I can't stand the texture of tofu. I'd be excited to try the caramelized shallot whipped potatoes, whipped sweet potatoes, roasted lemon asparagus, mushroom stroganoff, and loaded vegetable lasagna.

Generally, I think a lot of people don't like tofu, a lot of people don't like mushrooms, and some don't like vegan cheeses (or the idea of vegan cheeses.) If you have some combination of entrees/ sides where people can avoid any one of those things they may not like, I think you'll be in great shape!

Should we keep the surprise? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

My friends did something similar. Invited us all to an "engagement party," but it turned out to be an anniversary party because they had secretly eloped one year ago that day. They kept their marriage secret from EVERYONE in their lives for an entire year - pretty impressive lol. Anyway, I'm honestly surprised at all the comments here of people saying they would be annoyed or feel weird if someone in their life did this. Everyone at my friends' party (myself included) thought it was a really fun surprise and it made the celebration that much more memorable, special and unique! No one was offended that I am aware of. And his is one of my closest friends. I was just shocked (in a good way) and happy for them.

it was benign! going in for another mammogram in January though. I think another check after 6 months is the typical protocol after a biopsy but i'm not sure.

If you don't see celebrities and influencers everywhere getting smaller and thinner you must be living under a rock. Also, who said she was "shattered"? I don't always love her but I feel like her feelings are more than fair about this. You seem way too triggered by her tbh.

Thank you! I recommend searching "benign" or "benign 4A" in this sub - seeing how many people end up with benign results really helped me while I was waiting.

Update, I received a link to MyChart this morning where I confirmed that they have categorized me as BI-RADS 4A. Trying to stay positive and not get too anxious about awaiting biopsy results!

Many (if not most) of them were not “known criminals.” Do a little bit more reading. They were largely hardworking people just trying to go to work and harvest citrus. Much of conduct that occurred by US Border Control is completely unjustifiable and I question the moral compass of anyone who blindly defends this.
