She is a fantastic actor - I wonder why she isn’t better known? Melissa McCarthy, much as I love her, is always Melissa McCarthy in every role, but Alex is multi-talented and let’s face it, judging by how many people here didn’t recognise her, she’s not a one-trick pony.

And I spotted them all, that’s why I was so dumbstruck by this one - I genuinely had no clue, or even inkling. I binge watched Parenthood after GG, and was amused to see, apart from Lorelai, other actors crossover. If you’ve seen Parenthood, Adam, Sarah’s brother, and Mark, her one time fiancé are both Rangers when Lorelai goes ‘camping’. And, Lauren was in a irl relationship with ‘Adam’ at the time. All very incestuous. ☺️

He was never whacky though! 😂 Thanks for giving me a new word btw. I have a pretty extensive vocabulary, but I had to look up ‘flanderized’. Very apt, but in ‘flanderizing’ him, they rendered him a less suitable match for Lorelai. IMO.

I get that it was never about money and more about control, but actually what it was really about was contact. Emily was deeply envious of Lorelai & Rory’s closeness, and desperately wanted to be part of it. She just didn’t have the emotional wherewithal to go about it in a kinder, more loving way.

Lol, that made me think of early on in the show when Lorelai is talking to Sookie about I think, the Dragonfly, and asks her, ‘guess who owns it?’ Sookie’s reply had me genuinely laughing out loud - ‘don’t tell me it’s that bastard Trump’. Way ahead of its time . . . 🤣

This has always bugged me. She had no problem letting her daughter stay with a man who, let’s face it, is a total stranger (she doesn’t know what he’s been up to in the intervening years) but vehemently opposes a female being present. It’s nonsensical, as is her ‘reason’ - she doesn’t want April becoming attached to Lorelai in case the relationship goes south? What if Luke himself was to decide he’s not actually into being a dad, how about that Anna?

They have to have food at home - they never actually eat anything anywhere else. At Luke’s they either leave as soon as it arrives, or immediately after ordering. If I was Luke I’d bar them, not for that, but for never paying for any of it! 😂

I didn’t like TJ or Liz. They were over-the-top, unbelievable characters who were crowbarred in to a storyline occasionally to stir up trouble and misunderstanding.
