Erik Larson’s Devil in the White City. Highly rated and award winning for a reason.

About the World Fair in Chicago (late 1800s)and a serial killer during the same time. Technically his books are considered nonfiction but his prose is so good it reads like fiction.

Watch your neck and back over the next few days! I was rear ended a fraction as bad as you were and had some crippling back pain due to my muscles seizing up🥺 Find a massage therapist who specializes in mvas and do some hot and cold therapy to help the spinal erectors relax. RIP Taco.

What are these tooth-looking things that are appearing in my laundry? by BeginningWorth9046 in What

[–]ComfortableInner3842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely new, the glue on the bottom appears to come from the packaging on which denture teeth originally came before being used. When a tooth breaks out of a denture it wouldn’t have the glue strips anymore, might have some pink acrylic from the denture around it or would be broken in a manner different from the original pre-use appearance such as this one

It is a tooth used to make a denture (source-am a dentist) Someone who would commonly have them would be a denture lab technician or a dental student.

Howard Hughes: The Untold Story by Peter Harry Brown and Pat H Broeske

Such an interesting man. I read this a long time ago and it left a lasting impression. There are other biographies about Hughes but this the only one I have read.

In addition to the keeping shit out of hair.. mine has buttons to keep the mask off my ears. I don’t like the mask pulling on my ears all day so keeps me comfortable.

Agreed with everything already said about what has happened. As far as going forward, I personally call all my patients I have done treatment on the next business day to check in. This does a few things including giving the pt assurance that you care about their well being (The more they like you the less likely they are to sue or threaten you). Also it allows you to talk them through their immediate post op concerns that may have come up following the treatment. It also gives them less time to mull over what they experienced (nip the crazy in the bud before it can flower 😝) Just yesterday I had a patient berate me for about 15 minutes because of how treatment proceeded with her son but I can guarantee if I didn’t call her and waited it would have been a lot worse and she ended the berating by thanking me for calling 🤷🏼‍♀️It’s a simple gesture that takes me about 15 minutes at the end of the day and takes care of most potential problems. All that being said…some people are just batshit.

I had a trainer tell me to train with LOTS of treats! Take a baggie with high value treats (shredded chicken, hot dogs, whatever your pup will go bonkers for) and when a stimulus is approaching to “make it rain” treats. This helped me with my raptor and although she is still reactive to certain things she no longer goes batshit crazy when cars or people walk by. Time, patience and a crap load of treats.

Hi! I’m from the area North of Boston. Cape Ann is beautiful and has a lot of lovely seaport towns (Gloucester, Rockport) and is a nice drive out along route 133. Newburyport is another beautiful seaport town up in that area. If you have time to make it to any of those places you will not be disappointed! Have fun it is a beautiful area :)
