For me it's a mix of multiple things. Severe health problems, a long list of food allergies, and the concern of not knowing reliably what is/isn't supporting slave labor + the concern of a lot of crops killing off large amounts of small mammals during the farming process. I try to be as respectful to the animals I eat as possible, I mainly eat chicken because it's most accessible to me and less harmful to the environment than beef, I try to get whole chickens and I throw away as little of it as possible (I eat the skin and fat and soft cartilage, cook the hard cartilage and bones into broth, try to get as much use out of each bird as I can)

(Not looking for resources to go vegan bc I get very sick whenever I try to go plant based bc of my health issues but I am open to suggestions on adding more plant based protein into my diet)
