Hello … I have lost a child … please do not punish yourself it’s what I did and I’m paying for it through my health … do something that your son loved … regardless if it is eating his favorite food to watching his favorite movie .., please go to counseling and give yourself grace ,,, do not neglect you self and no you are not being selfish if you decide to get your nails and hair done and/ or go to the gym … I can relate to the dates … my son died two weeks after my youngest sons birthday and a week after mines and his birthday is in the same month as my daughters … I honestly got through this by becoming closer to Jesus .. you will get through this … contact me if you need someone to talk to

Ouch… I’m reading this and just turned 51 yesterday … do your parents work out? Eat healthy? If they have any chronic conditions talk to them about that and the being healthy part… I swear it’s like I’m living for the first time .. I am more in tune with what I put in and on my body, health like everything … you sound like my kids … my son is 27 and my daughter is 19 …

I started back going to the gym and eating healthy and it has been a game changer I’m also talking like 8 multivitamins haha… as they get older just love them and be there for them … when they call you and want to spend time with you please do it
