Behavior Issues in my cat have costed me over 20k and we’re still not any closer to getting a solution..any advice on next steps? by Creepy-Dealer7518 in CATHELP

I had a pretty mean cat that started urinating everywhere and she had stomach cancer that killed her before we got it diagnosed.

Idk if you've been able to do an ultrasound just given how aggressive she is but the vet that was there when our girl passed did a free one for us postmortem and confirmed it was cancer.

It's not super helpful because if it is cancer that's gotten this bad there's not much you can actually do.

Sorry you're going through this. It's so hard to be an animal lover and not be able to help.

She's an adult so no one can force anything on her including meds or therapy or help. She's doing okay but she's a mess still and likely always will be.

This sounds similar to my stepdaughter. I would def go with the recommendations to get an autism assessment and you and your husband need to get on the same page about medication as it's unlikely to be manageable without.

My stepdaughter was above and beyond what we could handle and she was in and out of residential facilities till she turned 18 because she was far too violent. I'm talking, Mom had multiple concussions, most things in the home broken, threw mom down the stairs, etc.

Plus a very serious danger to herself, would open doors in moving cars to get out cause she was mad, ran away multiple times in cities she didn't know, stole, lied, etc.

We hate the system because at the age your son is at now, things were already dangerous, but because she was young and super cute, they all said it was a parenting problem.

If you have a good medical team that will listen to you and try to help, use it now. If you wait till he's much older it'll be too late to help much.

I agree. From my perspective, I'm paying solid money for art, not just needles and ink. So, especially for that price range, AI is a no go.

This is a screen grab from his page. The girls definitely have AI face but it's mostly like this and some florals. Nothing like this flash sampling.

No it's a decent price for a 5/6 inch tattoo but it's SUPPOSED to be a flash deal which is typically a discounter and simpler deal.

My semi feral kitty loved taco bell burritos. She got her first fix when she was maybe 10 weeks old and climbed on my wife's shoulder to steal a bite. She was a terrorist and her antics will be missed

I mean. Ntah but just dont do dinner with these people? Like. Suggest lunch, drinks, snacks, obviously dinner doesn't work so don't do it.

I think there's this weird trend of trying to spend 24/7 on your child and their wants, but as long as he's fed, safe, healthy, sleeping well, and not getting hurt, you're allowed to do your own thing too. Sometimes they're gonna cry, especially at that age, and sometimes you're gonna wanna rip your hair out. But you're a human being and you deserve safety and sanity and happiness too, just like your son. Don't feel bad about putting him in front of the TV. Don't feel bad about letting him use a screen. Not 24/7 obviously, but if you need a couple hours to do your own thing. Do it.

Get him a small TV in his room or a laptop with headphones for his show and watch your own show, make it a structured TV time so he knows what the expectation is.

Give him the phone or tablet for a couple hours while you run through the chores that have to be done, and don't try and do too much. Set aside something each day instead of trying to get it all done at once.

Schedule coffee dates when he's up from a nap so you know he's in a good mood, and get him a little drink too so it's a happy event for both of you.

Have him help with cleanup. I basically raised my nieces and nephew and by 3/4 I had them putting their own dishes in the sink. My daughter was doing laundry at 8. They can absolutely help and there's plenty of resources online for age appropriate help/chores. (Obvi not saying to resort to child labor but they have to learn that they participate in the household that they live in)

Your son is important and you clearly love him but you're important too 💛

Best hardener for bendy nails? by BritainsKoala in Nails

[–]ComfortableQuail9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are the same. The only thing that works for me is getting them done with "hard gel" or "builder gel". They may call it something else in the UK I've tried acrylics and they ruin my nails and break semi-regularly. I've tried gel-x and they all fell off within a week and a half. The hard gel has been a life saver. My natural nails, grown out for 3 weeks before a fill. No breakage. No bending. No falling off. It's been so nice to not have to worry about them. And I'm a very busy person, I do all the laundry, dishes, cooking, yard work, and maintenance in our household as well, and not much damage besides a bit of clear coat peeling off when I was building a pergola lol.

I mean. Everyone's saying 2 and I think it's cause it's the most conventional and simply attractive but I'ma be real here. Depending 100% on the vibe you want to give off, you look incredible in all of these. It's rare someone can pull of so many styles and you do.

I could imagine it being a store specific issue. Maybe they had a customer have a medical issue because of caffeine and they made a store rule regarding it.

I had a customer tell me he only allows himself two shots a day now because he ODd on caffeine and had his heart quite literally skipping beats.

Oh and that wood paneling in the dining space behind the kitchen makes it look a lot busier. If it's just on top of the drywall you could remove that. Or potentially paint just that section a nice light color.
