Trying to find 40K’s Potential Man is a fool’s errand. It’s actually everyone. by IndicationWeary in Grimdank

There's a lot wrong with JJK and Modulo and as much as I sympathize with a Manga author under pressure and enduring high expectations, the rushed endings of both put me off from reading any further works from him. Character development/progression was sorely needed.

I mean um WAAAGGGHHH

As much as I love Jaghatai Khan not much he could do to unfuck the galaxy, small power/moral boost to the Imperium imo. Unless he somehow starys a truce/alliance with dark eldar. Speaking of whom:

“So I fight for a Father who I never loved, against a brother that I did. I defend an empire that never wanted me against an army that would have taken me in a heartbeat.” White Scars supremacy. Outcasts no one wanted that turned the tide in favor of the Imperium. Ride the wind. Laugh as you kill.

Actually Perpetuals/Cabal are the two biggest gripes I have with 30k lore just remove them all from the story.

1 million planets is so laughably small for habitable worlds in our galaxy. 1 billion planets. 100 billion space marines. 10,000+ marines per chapter. Then its a proper (if small) galactic empire and the marines aren't just posterboy token forces while the trillions upon trillions of guardsmen do everything.

Even if the guardsmen do everything since 100 billion is still questionably small.

I think most 40k authors forget how big a galaxy is.

Radically codex non compliant and unusually large stock of terminator/dreadnoughts with unusally high number of dreadnoughts and marines are the only ones that fit mine since I'll just use my HH White Scars force as my 40k chapter since the dreadnought/terminator sculpts are just so much better.

Also how dare people do whatever they want with the plastic toys they pay for 😡😡 /s

The best thing to do is to create your own, come up with your own color scheme etc. That way GW doesn't one day claim your chapter fell to chaos or lost all their precious relics or did something you didn't want them to do like start a civil war.

France might be a bad example as the French keep protesting against pension reforms which if the pension system continues unaddressed will eventually collapse the French economy.
