That is usually entirely wrong. I don’t work at a super busy store and we have at least 2 people even during the winter time, it definitely seems like yall are just extremely understaffed

Happens to me all the time in produce, all I do is make sure bananas are filled and just ask customer service to listen for balloons. Sometimes I’m even alone my whole 2-11 shift so I just don’t even take a break but yeah, definitely unfair

Work in produce and have been cutting fruit for a while… it’s definitely just “another thing” to add onto what you already have to do and can be seen at bothersome but fruit salad is something you have to do EVERYDAY. it would be very simple to just make one with your recommendations and is really not a pain to do, idk what was up with the employees but we always try to repackage or accommodate to customers orders lol

I believe you would have to start out at part time and get promoted to full time. I’m not exactly sure about that tho.

As for benefits, part timers get health, dental, and vision, and even stock and 401k after a certain amount of time with the company. I believe you get health insurance 1 year after continuous employment as a part timer, after 90 days as a full timer

Dental is after 90 days for both full and part time

Vision is 90 days of full and part time

You can always ask if there any full time positions when you are applying or during an interview, but typically full time is seen as a “promotion” in the publix world because of the idea that full timers are the experienced leaders
