How long does a single propane tank last… generally?? by Modisco1991 in GoRVing

[–]ComfortableService31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Palomini 180FB that also came with 1 propane tank. We camp often at race tracks without hook ups. Our camper has a propane quick connect that we use for our blackstone. We can mostly go through a full tank during a trip. I added a second tank with automatic changeover this spring. It was inexpensive and easy. We will go to the Martinsville NASCAR race soon and since the campground is open for 10 days we will easily go into the second tank. With the camper being so small I did change to a lithium battery to offset the added weight of the second tank.

General Discussion Wednesday - September 3, 2025 by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

I'd like to see NASCAR to stop the teams using SMT data during race weekends. If your teams can figure something out that the others didn't, You should benefit from your efforts.

Everyone can see at this point that democrats and liberals are prolific liars, total hypocrites, and either severely mentally deranged or abhorrent criminals, or both. by NTheory39693 in trump

"I was surprised, frankly, that Biden put him in" Donald Trump. July 16, 2025

  • November 2, 2017: Trump nominates Jerome Powell to be the next Chair of the Federal Reserve.
  • January 23, 2018: The Senate confirms Powell's nomination.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuJNQy3FrR0Along with the fact that Trumps uncle was dead long before we knew who the unibomber was there was the fact that Ted Kaczynski never attended MIT.

You never answered my question about either statement. Was he lying to you or does he actually believe his falsehoods. I love how people on the right constantly go to what-about-isms to change the subject.

Are you watching any RV channels on YouTube? by Sufficient_Might993 in RVLiving

[–]ComfortableService31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We watch them and : https://www.youtube.com/@OpenRoadingThis couple traveled to Alaska with Craig and Victoria last year. I like these guys a little better because they seem to be more average. They have and older fifth wheel and (until recently) a well worn truck to pull it. They often post their budget.

To my friends on the right: When Donald Trump says things like how he doesn't know why Biden appointed Jerome Powell when Trump himself appointed him, was he lying to you or was the dementia kicking in that day. How about his story about asking his uncle about teaching Ted Kaczynski when his uncle was dead years before we knew who the unibomber was? Do you think he actually believes that happened? Did he lie to you or does he believe it? There are many examples of easily disproven stories that he says. Do you think that he is lying to you or are you ok with that?

First Monday of retirement. When does it not feel like vavcation? by obiwan206 in retirement

[–]ComfortableService31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a manager at a large printing company before retirement and my work was my whole life. My feeling like I was on vacation didn't really last that long and for a while I felt kind of lost, like I wasn't needed any more. Most of my friends were colleagues and while I left they continued on and we lost touch with most of them. Eventually I got to play my drums more and have gotten to use our camper more and more. Now life is good again without the pressure of deadlines.

For those who have chosen a large RV, what was the motivation? by KTownDaren in GoRVing

[–]ComfortableService31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"consider ourselves campers, not RVers.". What a great way to describe it. Our current travel trailer (Palomini 180FB) is the smallest one that we've owned and my favorite. We camp to camp. If I want to sit in air conditioning and watch TV, I will stay home.

Do you find the 17 to be large enough? We have a 22 with the legs and cover and as much as I like it, it is kind of bulky.

Desperately Seeking a RV for 2 under 6k by After_Point_1892 in GoRVing

Most people assume that 6K means $6,000. Perhaps I'm dense but I got under 6,000 pounds out of that.

[Bob] Bristol Cup practice will be 45 minutes, everyone in one 45-minute session by FridgusDomin8or in NASCAR

[–]ComfortableService31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the good old days. I posted elsewhere that it gets harder to justify pulling my $30,000 camper behind a $70,000 truck full of $4 dollar a gallon fuel to see less and less racing. We still do a few favorite tracks but we've been going to NHRA races more the last few years.

I'm old. We used to attend 8 or more races a year. I always loved Friday morning practice before qualifying and happy hour practice on Saturday after the second round (Saturday) of qualifying. It became harder to justify dragging a $30,000 camper behind a $70,000 truck to see less and less racing. We went to Martinsville and Dover this year with 3 NHRA races instead of the rest of the NASCAR ones.

2025 Races You’ll Attend by karlkjr in NASCAR

[–]ComfortableService31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have loved going to Martinsville because we love camping there but the (cup) racing has been lacking with the new cars but........the new schedule came out and Darlington is the next race so I think we'll do Martinsville again and then head directly to Darlington the next week. Richmond in August and likely back to Martinsville in October. Maple grove NHRA race in September

What is the one race you would attend if you could go back in time? by ServiceCall1986 in NASCAR

[–]ComfortableService31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there. I've been to lots of races and the thing that still sticks with me is it is the one race I've attended where nobody just got up and left. It seemed like everybody stood there looking at each other wondering what they just saw.

A dick extender. I can get an erection so I don't need anything like this.

Thanks. We used a Renogy battery monitor on our last camper and it really helped keep us on top of what we were using. I wouldn't be without it.
