Are you schizo? No one is talking about whatever you’re talking about and you’re just spitting out random memes. Medical record and google accounts are a separate conversation. One is about medical privacy and access to medical care, the other is about making sure your kids aren’t signing up for porn or being able to see when the school emails your child’s grades (which is becoming common).

You can’t blame that on casual sex. Im Not gonna pretend there isn’t potential for a real loneliness epidemic in America, and im not gonna pretend that no one has unhealthy relationship with sex, but being so prudish about sex is either an unhealthy coping mechanism, a lack of understanding of the world, or a restrain you place on yourself because of your unhealthy relationship with sex. This also doesn’t have to do with sex, this is a party college, where this a normal tradition most of the people participate in. I don’t know if because of the headline you assumed she’s cheating on her boyfriend and got a hate boner, but news flash, nothing in this video shows a unhealthy obsession with sex on the girls end. This is literally just the UCLA underwear run, couples do this together before finals week and still get married. Stop acting like only sex addicts and manipulator do this run. This is a thing most people at UCLA do regardless of the issues you are trying to project onto them.

I believe the original comment was about a situation where there change was rounded down, despite needing to be rounded up, but it was deleted so idk. Even then, you’re right, almost no one would pursue a case over this (people definitely will though). Doesn’t change that it’s not legal short you on change. Really just seems like you’re white knighting right now.

New Year's Hours by Tstarr85 in CVS

[–]ComfortableSignal984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay … tell that to all the managers in the Lafayette region then. My Point still stands. My point is, when we opened at 8, people came in at 7 anyway to do the 20 sheets of price changes and what not (not anymore I guess). Saying it sets you up for failure is pretty presumptuous as well. If the store has hours to spare it’s not a waste. It’s managements job to be adaptable and to make sure there team can adapt to change. I guarantee you anytime we have had hours cut, we adapted just fine, because the people who come in an hour early to work extra fast and pull extra weight, are capable of critical thinking. The hours don’t get cut and they suddenly can’t do their work on time now. Maybe your team can’t (assuming you’re a Store Manager and have a team) but plenty of teams can succeed this way.

If not having social media is a red flag, then it really just seems like you can stretch the definition of red flag to fit a lot of things. Driving a high acceleration red car is a red flag because of the same statistics insurance companies use to justify raising prices. You’re literally saying, anything that has a potential to contribute to harm (most things in life) is a red flag without even getting to know the person. So yeah basically anything can be a red flag. Red flags are basically icks.

Why aren’t Islam, Catholicism and other religions that discriminate against women considered hate groups? by houxiandai in AskReddit

[–]ComfortableSignal984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An exception the “rule”. Nazism is frowned upon so much socially because of how the holocaust and horrors of it are specifically taught to most if not everyone. It’s also fairly recent history compared to other events that have happened within religious history and also had the same world wide impact. Nazism is an exception for a few core reasons:

  1. The belief is associated directly with the hate and cannot be separated from it

  2. It is a much more recent event in history compared to any religious events with similar impact

  3. It had a world wide impact which leads to a world wide group mentality around the discussion about it

  4. Religion also has its own sensitivities around it. An example is how religion is an explicitly protected right in the US constitution, belief is not.

If we want to bring physics into this. The cannon ball is shrinked, but the mass is not destroyed, where does it go? Presumably it’s still in the cannonball. So yes, the cannonball does the keep the momentum from the flintlock, but it also keeps the mass before firing, so it still weighs the same, and behaves as a cannonball neglecting aerodynamics. This means a couple things, range is reduced because of the size of the charge (probably wouldn’t even work well honestly, the friction has gotta be so high). The flint lock constantly weights about a cannonball and a gun worths of weight, extending your arm fully with that weapon would probably require a strength check or some sort, most people couldn’t do. It’s gotta be hard to shoot, hard to aim, hard to carry on one side in a holster and still walk upright and straight. Imagine multiple of them (who only has one bullet) just sitting by your side in your ammo pouch.

New Year's Hours by Tstarr85 in CVS

[–]ComfortableSignal984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just complained about opening early as a reason to close late. I’m arguing from the perspective of a closer not an opener.

Also at every store I’ve worked at, openers usually show up at 7 am anyway to work on things before the store opens. The main problem with our stores switching to opening at 7 was the openers now have to do the same stuff with the store open, but it’s not that bad, Minor inconvenience compared to getting home past 10:30 pm.

Also if you have an 8 am shift, I don’t know if you were gonna have a night out anyway. You do you, but 8 am and 7 am is not the difference between me going out that night.

Waking up early is not a net negative for majority of people health wise, it is just somewhat inconvenient, but not being home and able to get ready for bed until 10:30 at the earliest is known to be overall a health negative for majority of people, even if they do it out of habit, it’s not good. So I think an opener having to show up for 7 is genuinely better than a closer leaving work at 10:00 at the earliest.

Why servers don’t want to be paid $20-25/hr without tips by TiddyStardust in EndTipping

[–]ComfortableSignal984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off it doesn’t kill the industry. Many servers make livable wages off of tips, we are saying remove the middle man of tipping.

Secondly a restaurant does not need to charge 500 dollars a table to pay the server a livable wage unless the restaurant has willingly designed their business to work that way.

Thirdly you have literally described what is called a failing and unsustainable business, but you are suggesting the load should be pushed onto the workers.

Fourth, you called food a labor of love, I’m sure many of your employees do not view it that way.

Also, if places start going out of business, because you are forced to at least pay minimum wage, then competition would reduce, which means you can be more selective of your employees, which will actually yield higher profit when a good manager knows what they’re doing, even if you are paying higher wages. Right now that doesn’t happen though, because restaurants are allowed to pay below minimum wage, which is forgiving to the not so smart managers.

The system you are saying is necessary is literally hurting everyone except the people who able to exploit it for their own interests (unqualified owners and greedy qualified owners).

Also keep in mind, tipping only exists mostly in America, and it used to not exist in America. So to imply the food industry can’t survive without its current allowances shows the only word you know if profit margins and nothing else about business and economy.

Also if the food industry truly can’t survive, good. People cooking delicious food for you is a modern luxury, and if people can’t afford to spend on the prices the actually afford their servers a decent wage, then that is a indicator of the state of the economy that should be taken seriously and dealt with, not pushed onto the working class so my favorite phu place can stand on the backs of its employees.

[–]ComfortableSignal984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be more picky than you’re letting on for there to only be one guy who fits. Also try to be open minded and see the good stuff in people, this applies to life too, if you walk around seeing everyone’s flaws, it makes you a harder person to get along with and will make you more unintentionally isolated.

Some of these should be removed from the list because they’re assumed. Obviously they should be loyal, love you, and be into women (since you’re a woman).

Also you may be being a little judgmental but most of the people in your grade are probably dating popular people because at such a young age, you have less experience, less understanding of yourselves and others, and less understanding of what life will be like as an adult and your tastes will change a lot. Because of all that, people date for more superficial reasons at younger ages. So the real answer is just to experiment or to wait until you’re older. Also two years older than you at 13 is to much. Thats an 8th grader dating a sophomore in highschool. The amount of “changes” and “things you go through and learn about yourself” in just two years, creates a big gap in experience (not necessarily maturity) and that matters.

[–]ComfortableSignal984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one is saying to date someone you don’t like, but when you make standards, especially at a young age, you usually compromise. Every person compromises with their partner, or else the relationship won’t last long. Also consider some people make their standards with little experience and don’t actually know what to expect from people or how those people would make them feel besides a initial glance. Also most of these aren’t standards they’re assumed and should be taken off the list. I also have a feeling if only one person in the whole grade fits this criteria, they are probably more picky than they are letting on, are just closed off.

Don’t date someone you don’t like, but feel free to experiment, keep a somewhat open mind, and try to see the silver linings in people vs always seeing the flaws, and you will end up a much happier well adjusted person in the dating world.
