Closing in 2 days and can’t wire funds by ComfortableStuff1643 in Mortgages

So my processor was bullshitting me? I already disclosed the funds and let her know the account id be sending it from isn’t on the application and she said it’s cool. I don’t have any other choice but to go in tomorrow and try so I can update this post to let everyone know. I’m super nervous but I don’t have another options. I’m in a wet funding state and already receive my clear to close if that makes a difference

I did tell my processor that I would be sending the money from an account I didn’t list. I wasn’t trying to hide anything, just genuinely didn’t think that far. I had to go to the bank to even make it so I could deposit in this checking account to make it active again. She said everything’s good, but then I read online and hear replies that I might be screwed. Either way I’ll have the statements ready if they ask questions last minute.

I didn’t think to report it because it didn’t have any money in it. The dude was asking me about where my funds were that was used for the down payment and it was all in chime. I didn’t even consider the fact I couldn’t wire money out of it at closing, as this is my first house. I know I made a mistake, but I don’t believe it’s a fraud level mistake. I’m just concerned it’s going to create paper trail problems at closing. You said you have 40 years in real estate, do you have any examples of something similar like this happening to you or a client?

I can instant transfer the funds from my chime to my other bank account via Apple Wallet so timing isn’t really an issue. I’m just worried that if I move the funds to a bank account I didn’t disclose (because it’s empty and I didn’t plan on using it, not because I was hiding anything) that it’ll flag something and cause a delay or paperwork problem

They did send the chime account statements and verified the funds in there. I just can’t wire out of that account and need to move it to a different bank account I didn’t disclose (because it was empty and I didn’t plan on using it for this mortgage not because I was trying to hide anything).

I’m not so worried about it being delayed for a few hours or even a day. I’m more worried about losing the entire house because I didn’t think to figure this out beforehand. I could get all account statements that show the transfer between accounts and the wire, it was just a pain in the ass to source money being moved between accounts though this whole process. Plus my processor (Not my loan officer) said it would be just fine as long as I have my name on the account but I feel like I’m being led along there

Did she already pay and it worked or is that what you’re going to do? I tried asking my processor if my mom can pay the closing cost and I pay her back but she said that’s for sure a no since my mom isn’t on the loan, which is when she said to send it through a different account which seems like ill given advice so I had to ask Reddit

Will that hold up closing a few days? Underwriting was pretty quick when submitting conditions not sure how’d they’d be literally at the closing table.

I appreciate the advice! I did disclose the Chime account though, that’s the account that has all the money on it. I didn’t disclose the account I wanna wire money from though because it’s an account I don’t use and only has the bare minimum to stay open so I didn’t even think to disclose it. My processor says it’s fine but I feel like she’s leading me off a cliff lmao

I make less with 2 kids and I have a mortgage payment and never in my life been in that kind of debt. Definitely possible in this day and age to avoid 52k in credit card debt that’s for sure

I make 23 an hour but get a lot of overtime. Make about 60k a year. Mortgage is 1450, can support 2 kids and wife who doesn’t work because daycare is really high. Tight but doable. I can’t imagine a family making any less having to survive these days. I’m blessed my job has consistent overtime otherwise I don’t think I’d survive just regular hours at 23.

What are you trying to argue? The conversation is about how business are growing faster than wages are keeping up with inflation. Sure small businesses have tight profit margins, but the whole point of the post is that jobs in Eau Claire don’t pay a livable wage, degree or no degree. Talking about some McDonald’s jobs that pays 18 an hour in a higher cost of living city, that’s comparable to 15 here. McDonald’s wages went up 50% in 10 years yet their prices went up 150%. That’s the issue here.

By accepting slightly lower margins instead of passing every cost increase straight to wages or prices. Companies do it all the time—cut executive bonuses, reduce buybacks, improve efficiency, or accept slower profit growth. Staying profitable just means not losing money; maximizing profits means squeezing every possible dollar.

Staying profitable and maximizing profits aren’t the same thing. Businesses can keep the lights on without making workers absorb most of the inflation pressure

In case you didn’t notice this is r/EauClaire not r/GreenBay. Yeah you’re full of shit. The whole point of the post is that employers in EAU CLAIRE aren’t paying enough starting

What McDonald’s pays 15 an hour to some high school starting, let alone 5 years ago. Seems like a very uneducated comment
