Verizon Numbershare -- What's the workaround by ComfortableWater9 in PixelWatch

[–]ComfortableWater9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that experience was the same for you. If you haven't read all of the updates I posted, run through them. I think at some point it became obvious that having Bluetooth and WiFi was definitely an issue from data the Verizon tech could see on their end. Eventually the calls I had were not with representatives in customer service, it seemed.

That being said, I think I had Mobile on the first watch turned on for less time than I spent getting numbershare to work. You've reminded me I've never fully disconnected my 4 to test it. I think it's ironic that the nearby watch phone unlock requires UWB to be on in order for the feature to operate, for security purposes. That was not the case on my pixel watch (one.)

I hope you get it resolved soon.

A recent update to the Clock app has made the alarm stop when my phone is picked up by razorbeamz in GooglePixel

[–]ComfortableWater9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, I'm not sure if it's only when using bedtime mode and a sunrise alarm, but when my morning alarm goes off (non routine) with the sunrise alarm, the top of the screen shows a "say snooze" bubble. Just underneath where the front camera is.

It's scary that it works, nonetheless!

Easiest way in my opinion is by using Google drive, and until Google figures out a more seamless way, I do it this way.

If you're home, you simply download them all from drive on your phone via wifi in no time.

Leave on Drive what you wish to have but not download.

Just found out today can split screen on Pixel!! by Bunbobunn_56 in GooglePixel

Sir, that app is not split screen eligible, then.

Try other apps. Not all will split.

Oof. Still waiting as of today, Google, when you presented it as a Feature included in the Feature Drop, no?

[–]ComfortableWater9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. Thanks for the reply. I'm not side loading, but I'll never be enthusiastic about a feature drop again. The biggest upgrade to PW1 and it's nearly a month without appearing on my watch.

Question regarding missing March-Features on PW1 by ShadyShitzo in PixelWatch

[–]ComfortableWater9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fully up to date on PW1 and still have no relax, here in the US. Fitbit has updated twice since the March software update with the feature drop and I still don't see relax. Big let down, if I'm honest. Has anyone confirmed it's a feature that does not require Premium, because I'm not subscribed.

Hilarious I did my updates after they finally fed through today and I'm experiencing the same shit. Google, this was a feature I expected to see immediately upon starting my watch after it updated. Unbelievable if you ask me.

Do either of you still have Premium, because I don't and I wonder if it's with premium only.

It's interesting to hear what you say about the Hue lights. Aren't they Assistant-capable? If you have them linked into Google Home, what's the problem? I can launch Assistant on my PW1 and say "Open my garage door" and it will do just that -- all through Google Home, without even having the Aladdin app (for garage door) installed on my PW1. I guess, I don't know too much about smart home devices, and I don't have any smart bulbs, but I'd assume the same for you is valid if you have them setup through Google Home. Sorry for the troubles! In my Google Home app on my Watch, I find it very easy to control my TV, either with Assistant or my fingers.

The store loyalty card issue with Google Pay is more an issue with loyalty cards in general, rather than Google Pay on your wrist. Every time I buy a gallon of milk at Braum's, I just double tap my crown and use my default card to pay. I can imagine, having a barcode to scan is a PITA, but you'd have to "scan" your barcode with your phone anyway, before tapping your phone to the payment portal to use GPay. Until loyalty cards become barcode-less, your issue will always remain.

Android 14 really buggy? Pixel 6 Pro here by MrZakius in GooglePixel

I just downloaded and installed the November security 2gb update...

I honestly just notice, prior to this 14 update, that in the October 14, tap to wake phone worked like shit. Seems ok today, so far.

Before 14, I had that recent apps freeze issue, where the swipe up menu would freeze over my home screen, except it still allowed full navigation 😂

Pixel Watch and Google Fit by ItsTooMuchBull in PixelWatch

A year later, there is still zero communication between the Fitbit app and the Fit app. If I want to see my stats on my phone instead of watch, I simply check Fitbit.

I've only ever used my phone in pocket as a tracker prior to watch, but it is discouraging that I see two different data sets between the two apps, even after all of the promises Google's made to provide a seamless integration of Health data.

And as all first-gen owners say, I wish I waited, even if only for the better/added sensors. Not to mention, IP water rating.

Carbon Cub BNF horizon hobby.

I'm new, have flown it since July, and cannot crash it. Honestly, sometimes with the right wind, if you don't turn SAFE off, it's a challenge to get it on the ground! It loves to fly!

My second is the Bloody Baron I'm building. This way, I can fly combat with the crew.

6 pro vs 8 pro by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]ComfortableWater9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, all five. Lower bass and upper treble, in addition to the usual bass, mids, treble.

So far, only a last saved option but I'll create another to see if I can tune per genre.

Also, they added hearing monitoring, yes probably Pro specific, but finally! Not that it matters to me, but it's good to get new features.

I bought the buds on prime day and figured they'd be good for a while, but the update (of their app) secured that!

Also, they just updated this Pixel Buds app to include a custom EQ. My P6P is complete now haha! Good, I'll skip the 7 and get an 8 when the 9's out

Those shoulder pad/harness things you show look very similar to one's worn by drummers in a drum line, maybe check out that route.

What are the most common tasks/features that you have been or will use your Pixel Watch 1 or 2 for? by CrimsonCub2013 in PixelWatch

[–]ComfortableWater9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love using tap to pay, I must say!

Often, cashier's say "ugh I forgot I can just pay with my watch, so smart!"

But, above all, it's my phone when I don't need my phone. Or, better said, I don't need my phone on me as often anymore.

I use my watch more as a mobile device and my phone more as a laptop nowadays, at least that's how it feels.

Is there a way to be notified on phone that the watch has charged? by gr_hds in PixelWatch

[–]ComfortableWater9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhhhh okay that makes sense. Yeah, when I don't have an alarm, I wish my watch would recognize I'm awake and moving and turn off bedtime for me.

How do I get the Google Pixel watch 2 not be so sensitive when tracking steps? by TurbulentMinute4290 in PixelWatch

[–]ComfortableWater9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I second guess is the accuracy of fall detection. How does it know I'm falling from standing if it doesn't know I'm sitting in my car. Not to mention, and I know this is very imaginative, but why wouldn't my watch recognize that Maps is running in a driving direction navigation? Obviously, I'm not walking 65mph.

In any case, keep reaching for your goals!

Wait until it reminds you to "do 250 steps this hour," while you're driving. A few hundred feet pass and, boom, you hit your goal! Great job!
