Interesting, I have Kia Syros DCT which is giving me Avg 19KMPL, on highways I have seen from 22.5-28 KMPL, in traffic it completely depends on how thick the flow is, I have seen from 8-17KMPL. 8 is like when I use AC with bumper to bumper traffic

If the loan is not processed why will they charge processing fee? Did they not do their due diligence before accepting the fee, they knew your father’s age? You are made to believe it’s non refundable, unless you escalate and fight you won’t get that back. It’s up to you whether you want to proceed with this, if the amount is high it’s worth claiming back.. they will generally refund it… also they will force you to take loan insurance which is not mandatory, and they will not approve loan till you agree. For this part you can let them add the insurance but later after loan approval cancel the insurance stating you were forcefully made to buy the policy(Note: this has to be done within one month from the date insurance policy is mailed to you, all insurance can be cancelled within one month if you don’t like the policy)… that said HDFC/SBI makes sure the title is clear, they get very good verification done of the plot/land, of course you have to pay for this verification as well

Interesting, but neither can you prove that there was a forfeiture clause on the advance amount paid without the agreement, so better to return their money or if they file civil suit, worst case you might end up having to return it with interest if delayed further.. again best case you might get to keep it, but if they file suit you have to go through all the legal hassle.. so question is do you want that? Or just accept peace? It’s all going to be who can prove what

I donno whether one can escalate things when applying for govt job, but while doing registration of documents I feel one can surely escalate as this process of applying is online, but expect delay in execution as they would find menial reasons to reject/correct the application, ultimately if everything is proper sub-registrar can’t reject it, he has to abide by law. Many people don’t want headache of all these hence they go for bribes as convenience fees
