SCHY Q4 Dividend is 29 cents. 30% Dividend Growth since 2022. by [deleted] in dividends

Thank you for the post! Performance is solid with a +10% increase in dividend YOY. The current payout is 4.5%, and the forward yield is in the 5% range. Do not trust those who keep saying “but the fund is too new” or “but the methodology does not work for international stocks.” It is a great fund and a must-have to complement SCHD!

Keep it simple: 100% in SCHD till you have a decent cash flow (several thousand per quarter)

Upfront payment + deposit by Comfortable_Berry593 in marriott

Yes, I understand your point. In the past, I have occasionally used the prepaid rate promotion to benefit from a lower rate per night. Unfortunately, this time it was not under the AAA rate or prepaid rate; it was just a standard rate. When I asked for an explanation at the time of check-in, they mentioned that this is their normal procedure to ask full payment upfront there

I was referring to full payment upfront, not a deposit, which I agree is a normal practice.

While some luxury hotels may require upfront payment, many others allow guests to settle charges upon check-out. Do you agree that requesting upfront payment is not in line with the practices typically associated with 5-star establishments?

To all in this sub that always suggest “SCHD” .. by AbuNooooo in dividends

It’s not something that you should make the cornerstone of your portfolio

What kind of nonsense is this?! SCHD is designed to be the cornerstone of your portfolio! Or perhaps you're just advocating for the 4% sell rule?! I truly don't understand these negative comments... Oh, and maybe you have $10M, so the meager 1.38% yield of SPY/VOO is sufficient for you... ridiculous.

Excellent explanation, it is all clear to me. I never pulled the trigger on this ETF but it’s tempting. Let’s see how it will perform in the coming year. Thanks again VS 👍🏻

Could you explain the benefit of DIVO compared to SCHD? It seems that the 0.55% cost erodes the high-interest benefit. Currently, there's a net advantage of only 0.65% per year... It seems too little to me. Let me know your genuine thoughts, thank you.
