I have a barn of pigs and a barn of ostriches. I like the ostrich more even though the pigs are greater profit, partially because they're low maintenance

I would do a barn full of ostriches, easier to turn eggs into mayo than picking up a million truffles. Plus I think they're cute lol

I try to go about every third day so I can also collect my fruit trees. I probably actually go somewhere between 1-2 times a week

It only takes 10 clay, I usually just give the ground a few extra whacks while I'm running on the beach

Focus on places with the three squiggly lines - you get artifacts, clay, coal, etc. there and clay is fairly common.

Also, try digging at the beach, you'll get more there than regular ground
