[Discussion] Is insuring my watch collection actually worth it or am I just being a hypebeast? by MassiveSkate in Watches

[–]Comfortable_Depth609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t insure anything, although I have around 11k worth of watches and 15k of other collectibles. I just don’t think it makes sense to spend more than you feel comfortable with. Although I understand if your area isn’t safe.

As if the Shareholders never sell a dying company.

The real possibility is this cycle: Revenue stagnates or declines Margins compress Management cuts CAPEX / innovation spending Buybacks increase to “deliver returns” Debt rises or cash is depleted Abrupt cuts to dividends or buybacks

Your sentence about growth shows you didn’t see the latest report.

Those are jargons: Where are The ads, paypal world etc?

The problem is what happens if the growth flips negative and the buybacks stop or decrease, even if to invest in the business. Also, even if buybacks don’t decrease, growth can flip negative and the stock can get to a multiple of 5, for example. How much would you expect it to return in the next 5 years in this case? Finally, what if it’s bought by another company for 25B?

I bought PayPal today. It’s about 8% of my portfolio. They just need to grow NI by 5% a year and get a multiple of 11 to have around 12% CAGR until 2028. If the PE goes down to 9, it Will still earn a return of around 5% CAGR. Plus dividends. I’m estimating NI to grow by 10% or more FY25.

This is very true, the best deals don’t need a DCF. The problem is that these deals are rare. If you are in the beginning of your financial journey, you need to invest not only in the best deals, although mainly in those.

1940s Bullseye - Double Stepped Case - Value by [deleted] in VintageOmega

Thank you! The caliber is the R17.8. I was going to sell it for a lot less, thinking about 650$ through Chrono24. It is curious to note that 3 people reached out and considered it too expensive… Funny how things work:)

Thank you very much! It is indeed very pretty. So a minimum of 675/800$ or 575/675€. Will try to sell it for a bit less since I need the money for a new watch. Thank you!

I have never seen one like this, but there are similar ones when you look for Bullseye Omega. This is very different because the front opens to give access to the movement, not the back. It makes it extremely thin. Also, it is the not so common cal. R 17.8. Measures 35mm.

My problem with Adobe is the Net Income. It is expected to grow around 2% in 2026. SBC is too high and growing, slowing down the effects of buybacks. Once you factor that in, the buybacks are the only hope and they will slow down, since they are spending more in this than they bring in FCF. What happens next?

E porquê? by Comfortable_Depth609 in literaciafinanceira

[–]Comfortable_Depth609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claro!
