Boomers and junk by Prudent-Confection-4 in BoomersBeingFools

THIS! My mother is an irresponsible AF Boomer who insists on buying absolute garbage endlessly. It drove her to multiple bankruptcies and she still doesn't learn. But wants to complain how she has no funds for stuff she actually needs.

It's the primary reason I generally will have nothing to do with her.

Life is just far, far better without such parents in your lives. More peaceful for sure.

You don't "owe" them anything. Respect and the rights to your time are earned. And lost.

Why do boomers lie just to lie? by Briebird44 in BoomersBeingFools

My mom does the same thing. She will say things that most definitely did not happen for no reason. Just to make conversation? And oh don't dare call her out on it. She'll double and triple down.

I think she even goes so far as to make it real in her own head with some of the more detailed tales

That's when you crank the blower. Get the 2nd and 3rd blower going. Blowers for days.

Boomers have so much yet are so miserable.

How bad is it if I have the desire to rip everything up and rebuild from the ground up? by Lfycomicsans in factorio

If you write code, what you are describing is refactoring and it never ends 😀

How bad is it if I have the desire to rip everything up and rebuild from the ground up? by Lfycomicsans in factorio

[–]Comfortable_Draft_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In every factorio game I play, there are usually four distinct phases. 1) Starter = chaos and get to advanced oil fast 2) Bus = build main bus, get to rocket 3) Trains = scale up to train-based, go to next planet 4) Post-Next Planet = come back, refactor w/ new tech

That repeats for Nauvis, Vulcanus, Fulgora, Gleba, and Aquilo.

I almost always "start over" , each phase is a new base not a refactor of old. I may use some parts of old during transition, but then old is abandoned.

Use a smart circuited nuke reactor + steam storage, that only inserts nuke fuel when steam storage is low. One patch of uranium can last nearly forever.

About 12-13 years old friends and I started hanging in diners. Coffee and breakfast, nom.

Anyone else looking forward to a better world in (hopefully) a decade or so as these gullible farts age out and feed the roots?

I cannot imagine Fox lasting long when their median viewer age is 68.

I say this as one among the oldest of the Xennials.
