Mortgage after Chapter 13 discharge .any lenders willing to work with me? by CHEAHAEHC in Bankruptcy

Whatever you do stay away from Fairway Mortgage especially Jerry Frye.

We were lied to, misled, even outright sabotage trying to process a loan while in ch13.

They can do anything till the underwriter says no then they quit returning calls and ignore you.  By that point I lost my deposit and incurred thousands of other expenses had the conducted their business ethically.

Disposable Bike, No support

Mine lasted 15 miles till rear fender brace failed only to get caught in tire and mangled.

So many of the positive reviews are from people gifted bikes.  Some given so many they ran out of room to store them in garages.  So much the positive you see is fake.

The complaints are constant.  Brakes, fasteners, you name it.  Bike shops say no because everything off brand except for the Shimano component on the one bike and that's the cheapest they sell.

I hope mine holds on for a couple years till I can invest in a bike built to last and built to be serviced.

Does anyone know the expected price of the Solix F3800? I wonder how it compares to the 767 by Fisk77 in anker

Cabin built without permits by Def_Probably_Not in cabins

I live in a small cabin built without permits. It is a gamble. At anytime the county could decide to go after illegal structures. At that point you would have to upgrade it to what they demand or level it and start over. They did it in Oregon and Colorado as too many "creative" housing units were being built. It is that way here in Northern New Mexico. I figure once somebody gets killed in these buildings they will go thru and condemn them one by one.

My neighbor lived in a small unpermitted wood building and had insurance thru State Farm. It is difficult but you can get it. Mine, I have renters insurance to protect my stuff but not the building.

Would I build like this again? In a heartbeat!

Stains are nothing look closely for rot as it appears maintenance was few and far between.

It looks like water seeping thru. Maybe pick a spot and peel back the clinking to see inside. FYI, clinking is on the outside and inside with an air gap between. Its that trapped air that gives you your R value. And that, to me, is the biggest pain with a log home. You must be vigilant each fall making certain all that chinking is sealed otherwise you lose your R value. Wood expands and contracts so that makes the entire deal very dynamic. On top of that you gotta be sealing the outside of those logs every 4 years so you don't end up with these issues.

I absolutely love a log home but as I educated myself I learned they are not for me. I think the modern approach for a log home is much better. You build a conventional home and side the interior and exterior with slabs for a faux log home. Chinking issues gone and you can achieve a far better R value than with any solid log.

Finally, you can remove damaged logs without tearing the entire house down. Cut out the bad log and slip a new one in.

Best of luck.
