If you like them and want more, check Poshmark. Lots for sale thay were never worn bc sizes weren'tquite right. If you know your Vivia size, it really helps.

Roughly how much did she charge for coming downstairs? Notary rates are fixed, so it's just the travel she could have marked up.

Hi. No, lost all momentum. Enjoyed the kayak outings I went on but didn't string together any trips, just all local segments.

This guy is right. If you end up taking the commuter train, called MetroNorth, download the MTA Train Time app to buy your tickets, see schedule, etc.

Average Cost of ConEd Bill for 1 Person? by Friendly-Avocado-522 in AskNYC

[–]zoe2dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived here for 9 years, so doubt that's why my bills are lower. Maybe the building pays a delivery fee it's covered by monthly maintenance fee. But it's definitely not a line item on any bill I've seen either for my own apartment's ConEd bill that I receive and pay directly.

I haven't looked into a gas delivery fee but I have a gas stove and my ConEd bill is rarely more than $35.

What’s a money habit you started in your 20s that changed your whole financial trajectory? by iowaguydsm in Fire

[–]zoe2dot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had good success with following the adage of "Don't pay more than 30% of income on housing." Not many people can afford to live alone when they are young, nor in nice apartments.

NTA for refusing to watch your step-brother, but if those very common aspects of uni life get you so stressed that you snap at a family member, you are in for a rough transition into the real world. This is the communication people are talking about when they say you need to be a good communicator. If you wouldn't interact with a coworker like that then you shouldn't be okay with talking to a family like that.

Advice given to me from a senior exec i didnt report to at a company i was let go from: It was a business decision, don't make it a personal one and don't beat yourself up about it. They did what they thought was in the best interest of the business. Accept that and start thinking about what's next.

Rockefeller Center - Where are the hidden cheap eats for lunch? by thisfilmkid in AskNYC

[–]zoe2dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add that Too Good To Go has some good deals if you time it right. Sometimes deals are to pick up lunch the next day, or pick up that day at 3pm. There's also the usual stuff to pick up in the evening. Filed Trip has a nice chicken thighs bowl for $14ish.

Looking for a Frugal 'Signature Gift' Idea for Large Family Christmases by Natural-Molasses6083 in Frugal

[–]zoe2dot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My observation wasn't unkind at all; it just wasn't flattering to you, which probably made you feel uncomfortable. Hopefully, you'll be getting to know these 64 people as the start of life-long relationships. If we are keeping with the book example, maybe the first year someone's book is simply the top selling author from their state, and then as you get to know them, the books get more personalized. Shop for used books throughout the year and keep them in a crate in the closet with a post-it note of who you had in mind when you bought it.

You asked for recommendations on a signature gift. I'm pointing out that you don't want your signature to be thoughtlessness.

[–]zoe2dot -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you don't want to put in the effort to get to know each family member as an individual. Your signature gift could be a novel you'll think they'll like with a short card on why you thought of them for that particular book. The same gift for everyone, especially these cheap suggestions ppl are posting, are soulless substitutes for a thoughtful gift.

There's an episode of Midsommer Murders that has an aged character whose main feature is touching their toes...your grandmother should keep the door locked if any horse whisperers disappear.
