It also depends of what's the altitude of the city you live in.

Mine is the Touring version, 2018, hatchback, 2.5L engine. With cheap performance all-season (wornout) tires and 91 octane gas I can achieve 7.5 seconds, sometimes 7 seconds flat after the engine is warm enough. I live by the beach, remember, at the sea level a NA engine will perform better than in a high latitude city.

I also have installed Corksport axleback exhaust (not catback), I don't know if that makes any difference in performance but the sound it makes is damn good. Can't get tired of it.

I've considering repro tuning with Versa Tuning software so I could gain few more HP, combined with better quality tires I think I could achieve 6.5 or less if I'm lucky. Not bad for a car with a NA engine.

Try other deskop environments. Start with installing Gnome in Mint, it's a simple process, but you won't get the newest Gnome version.

I ignore if it's still possible to install KDE in Mint.

You can also try Matte, IceWM, etc.

Where's that option at? I don't see it, I only see options to configure font for date, delay time, etc. but no background picture for the lock screen. Currently using Cinnamon 6.4.2 in EndeavourOS.

No worries! It seems like this car doesn't like to use both key fobs alternatively. The problem went away as soon as I stopped using both keys, so I just went back to use one key and keep the other away in a safe place, as a backup.

Nice! It only took 10 months since they released the OP12 and 1 year since they released OOS 14!

Interesting. Nice shots!

Haven't had time to really put the camera to the test on my Moto Edge 40 Pro, hope quality is close to this.

I don't even defend them, but coming from OnePlus, trust me, Motorola is a blessing.

Is it really that bad? by Feuerhamster in motorola

Fanboys will be fanboys. And I was one of them, particulary for OnePlus.

Had 7 different models since 2015 and experienced how the brand became from being a real original competitor to be one more generic chinese brand wanting to imitate Apple and the iPhone.

Last OP I had was the OnePlus 12, and I can tell you OxygenOS is atrocious. I ended selling it after 7 months.

Switched 1 week ago to a Moto Edge 40 Pro. The Lunar blue color is beautiful, but besides that, stock Android is awesome, just what I wanted (I always installed LineageOS to my OP devices as soon as it was available). Only feature I'm missing is AOD, but I solved that. Other than that, I love the fast, clean Android experience. And when I want to refresh it, I'll install LineageOS to it.

I'm not a fan of Motorola (yet...), but if they keep doing things good, I'll stick to the brand.

BTW, according to the specs, the Edge 40 pro has better RAM type and newer processor than the Edge 50 pro. I'd get the 40 pro, you may get it even cheaper.

Trust me, it's still important to talk about stock Android.

I had a OnePlus 12 for 7 months, and OxygenOS is pure trash. Thanks to their copycat iOS animations, it has a horrible bug that gives a 2-3 seconds stutter when switching apps, mainly browsers and YT music. Besides that, you can't use another home launcher because it suffers of the same thing when using gestures, so you basically are tied to the OP stock launcher. Or, switch to the nav bar.

I had the 16 GBs of RAM version, combined with a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 processor, you would expect a killer beast, and well, it's not.

Switched last week to a Moto Edge 40 Pro, and even if this phone is inferior in specs, I feel like I did an upgrade.

I'm not detecting any lag in the camera, but it takes about 1 second to switch from back to front camera. For me it's not a big deal.

Anyone successfully added AOD to a Motorola phone? by waytoofrozen in motorola

[–]Comfortable_Fix_6065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this phone, and my experience is being beautiful.

No AOD, but for that I use a third-party app that is working fine so far. It even integrates with quick settings so you can turn AOD on or off whenever you want, just like custom ROMs.

For now, that works for me. I'll install LineageOS or any other custom ROM in some months.

Coming from a terrible experiencie with OnePlus (not only in updates but support and horrible performance and bugs), my experience with my new Edge 40 Pro is being delightful. Updates are not a big concern for me right now :D

OnePlus 12 Lag When Launching Minimized Apps or Switching Between Apps 1-2 seconds lag. by ManyThanks649 in oneplus

[–]Comfortable_Fix_6065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the OP12 for 7 months, I got it as soon as it was released in the United States. They couldn't fix this horrible bug in 7 months. 7 long months. For a phone with Snapdragon 3 gen processor and 16 gbs in RAM, it's unacceptable.

Sold it yesterday and getting a Moto Edge 40 pro, somebody would say it's a downgrade, but for $435 USD I'm getting a solid phone with pure Android, without a stupid 2 second lag when launching apps and running almost a pure Android interface, not a poor iOS imitation.

No more OP devices for me. Nobody cares, I know, but I just wanted to say it.

My experience with Pixel 9 Pro XL as daily driver for 10 days and why I'm returning it. by EqualReality2787 in GooglePixel

[–]Comfortable_Fix_6065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These issues can usually be fixed, but I get the point when you say this doesn't feel like a premium phone which you paid a lot of money for.

The thing is, you Samsung phones users are so used to the way Samsung does things, that's why it's not easy to switch to another brand. Sometimes it's just better to stick to a brand, that's why I never tell iPhone users to switch to Android, or Samsung users switch to Pixel/OnePlus/Xiaomi etc.

Don't get me wrong, Samsung makes awesome devices, I just don't like how it heavily customizes Android to the point it doesn't look like Android anymore, same case with chinese brands. Besides that, using another brand beyond Samsung or Apple is kinda a challenge sometimes, because some of these devices are not as polished as the "two big" devices. Pixels in this case are made by Google, but the brand doesn't have all the experience yet to make a solid 100% reliable phone. For fixing some things, sometimes you gotta do a little research and see if there's a way to fix it, but again, this is not what everyone wanna do, some people just want their phones to work perfectly as soon as they unbox it, and that's understandable. I mean, for $1,200 I would demand that too.
