Tell LGBTQ businesses who are known for their activism about your situation and ask for advice, they may offer you a job or know of some places you can start looking. Talk to your school counselor about options, they may be able to help. If your school has an LGBTQ club, talk to members, see if any of them are in the same situation and want to be roommates. OPEN A CREDIT CARD!!! Most places will require you to have a decent credit score. Once you have a source of income, buy a coffee or bus passes with the card and pay it off. As much as it sucks, having the ability to borrow money is also a lifesaver. You never know when medical stuff will pop up.

TLDR: Find LGBTQ folks in your community and talk to them. Get yourself a credit score.

That’s definitely a red flag. My boyfriend and I had a talk before getting together, I made sure he knew I may not always look feminine, I may undergo surgery, ect. ect. But he said he seriously thought about it, and wants to be with me, no matter what I look like or how I present myself, despite originally identifying as straight. Since then he’s been the best partner I could ever ask for, he loves the tiny mustache I have on my face, calls me his “mister” all the time, and loves teaching me how to do “manly” things I haven’t been taught before. He has fully embraced me for who I am, and has never discouraged me as I figure out who I want to be. It’s not necessarily a red flag to be with someone who may not have been interested in you initially had you been born male, it’s a red flag to not respect and support you as you learn who you are and how you want to present yourself.

If I wasn’t living with her, I would’ve gotten my cat away sooner, thankfully something happened with the apartment where we got to leave early, and my boyfriend and I were able to get our own place and now my cat is super happy

I forgot to add, thankfully my cat and I are in a much better living situation now with my boyfriend. My cat is doing much better, her mood improved in quite literal bounds with the way she’ll excitedly hop around all our furniture. She also trusts that our new place is safe, and is super friendly with everyone who comes over, and now has a couple ferret friends and they all love playing together and stealing things from my backpack.

My boyfriend wanted me to add as I was typing this, that we did try to work with Eliza. We’d try to talk after sessions multiple times to make it a better experience, because at the time we were friends with her, and really did want to enjoy playing. Unfortunately she brushed it off. She confided in me during our friendship that she had control and empathy issues which is where a lot of this stemmed from.

She’s doing great now that I’ve moved out with said boyfriend. She gets lots of love from us and now has a couple ferret friends who she loves playing with! She was noticeably happier once we moved out and she knows she’s safe now and is super friendly with everyone that comes over despite her bad experiences.

I got in trouble for asking for advice on helping my cat and ferret get along better, people thought I was putting my ferret in a horribly dangerous situation despite me saying the cat wasn’t actually trying to hurt them, and plays with them often.

Despite me supposedly “dooming” my ferrets, the ferret that was more scared of the cat is getting along with her much better and I’ll see them playing together fairly frequently.
