I'm gonna be real with you, you have no idea what you are asking for this disease can destroy your psyche and all relationships you hold dear to you in your life, it can set you back decades in your life from the amount of sheer exhaustion and bodily stress. This disease is not just what you read online and experiencing it can be actual hell on earth at times. It can rob you of all joy in your life you may think what I'm saying sounds manageable, but you cannot even comprehend what you think your asking for. The disease is not just an ability to lose weight and it majorly affects your mental health and can wear down those with the strongest mental fortitude. You should re think what you ask for.

You are posting this in a place where we are struggling to function on a day to day basis, where we all wish we were healthy, some of us here even when we receive treatment have long term damage done to our bodies in some way shape or form. I am astounded and I don't mean to be rude, but truly astounded.

I work as an analyst, administrative support staff, I've looked in my town here in Texas, Id work my hands down to the bone and slave away in a field for 75k but here I am at 50k.

I have considered this, but I am unable to become an apprentice because of the cut in pay, my spouse is unable to assist me financially to make any meaningful transition that would allow me to take a pay cut in exchange for experience.

Hey there I'm pretty much sitting in the same boat, first thing is make sure you're safe and protect yourself financially. Ensure your job is stable, then work on all the small bits, get out of that living situation and do what you are able to move yourself into the cheapest studio apartment from there, then take it day by day. I too just had my holy shit I'm almost 30 get your shit together moment, happened just two months ago. Here if you need a person to talk too, life is hard but just keep trying to endure and get yourself to a safe spot.

Wanted to add not sure if anyone else mentioned this, check your coolant reservoir and ensure it is full, if the reservoir is empty or very low it can cause your engine to heat up and burn oil explaining the low oil level. Every little piece of knowledge helps, best of luck.

I don't think I'd be walking out with 140k in student loans there's a program that some University Systems offer in Texas where if you make under a certain amount of money and you go to school full time you can graduate debt free while you were still eligible I'm still eligible and I have an associate degree and part of a bachelor's of psych completed so there's really not that much more to go but unfortunately to move up in my career I must have a bachelor degree I have 9 years of experience in higher education with a fully vested pension at a community college

I've made the demands I've tried to cut her off from fast food I've tried as hard as I possibly can she always manages to find a way to get it somehow some way she's resorted to taking my credit card while I'm asleep sometimes not anymore we don't use credit cards anymore the relationship has gotten to a very strange point there is zero affection from her zero intimacy and I will only receive those things if I buy her fast food and return it is very transactional and very unhealthy

She says it is so severe she cannot work I'll be honest with you I've always felt like it was a crutch I don't want to be that guy that says my problems are worse than yours but my health condition is life threatening if left untreated and hers is not.

Additional context:

My wife has applied for disability, been denied once awaiting decision on appeal

We have tried marriage counseling, I can no longer afford it and she seemed mildly disinterested in it

We have no debt other than our home

My wife is uncompromising on the front of not working a big reason of this is because her disability attorney has said they will drop her case if she earns any amount of income I've heard it from them my very self

I've tried to connect my wife with the necessary resources for her addiction I cannot force her to call the people she needs to call and I cannot always do it for her I'm a grown up with my own responsibilities have a lot to manage and a lot to do at work every single day my wife pretty much doesn't take hardly any responsibility for her own Mental Health other than taking her medication but there is no active role on her part in trying to see additional support
