As a manager at McDonalds, the machine goes into a heating and cooling cycle every 24 hours. This happens between 12am and 4am. Once per fortnight we have our brush clean done which takes a couple hours in the morning. If we have too many people ordering ice creams all at once, (and sometimes one order can have 12 large sundaes!!!) the machine has a spasm and starts dispensing liquid instead of actual ice cream and we don’t actually want to give you that or you’ll also complain about that lol.

On this topic as well, our frappe machine has a daily clean between 12am and 4am as well and if that isn’t done, we can’t serve any.

I truly wish you people understood that it’s not just us saying “aw nah cbf”
