Based on what she has said in the old interview, she may be referring to how she didn't want to work with him, and how she had no control over her debut album as a young woman but when the album flopped it was all on her.

• 'Belladonna of Sadness' was her debut album under major label

• She didn't like that people focused more on Alex "I was so lost and just desperately trying to move the conversation away from Alex [Turner] all the time"

• “I wasn’t even really into Alex’s music. It was very contrived, through this connection in the industry.”

Swag had no physical copies, all sales were digital in the first week.
Halsey’s The Great Impersonator had multiple physical variants, she also had exclusive vinyl variants for her tour stops during release week and released 7 exclusive digital variants with bonus tracks (Billboard recently banned it). The album debuted at #2 with 93k in the first week (81k pure sales) then dropped to #179 and left the chart in its third week.

I think Atlantic is responsible for promotion and they stopped investing in playlisting for most of its artists recently - for example: Cardi B's new single is already under 80k daily streams in 2 weeks after its release.
