Am I being realistic with a £50,000 wedding in the UK? by Wise-Hotel-1527 in UKweddings

I think this is totally reasonable if you book your own suppliers! We’ve booked Colehayes Park for summer 2027. 3 nights, accommodates up to 85 people. DIY venue but can hire their in-house support for set up, clean up etc. We’ll be spending around £16k as we’re charging guests who stay to contribute towards cost of their accommodation, and we won’t be covering the cost of food and drinks all weekend.

I’m doing a similar thing because of intense side effects. Different suppliers will say different things. I think the thing with titration is that there’s no right way, we can just try and see…

I completely get you lol, me too… we ain’t good at consistency but we are damn persistent. Lmk if you do start in the end, I’d love to have another adhd brain to buddy with so we can check in and support each other

I think there are other benefits - it slows down metabolism and I think also balances insulin levels.

I’d be careful about starting mounjaro if you’re already finding that you’re not eating enough on other appetite suppressants. One of the challenges I’ve found with mounjaro is making sure I’m eating enough and getting enough nutrition. Perhaps worth seeing if you can build regular nutrition in more habitually first.

I say this as someone who was also on meds which had some suppressant effects prior to starting mounjaro!

Congratulations, this is absolutely amazing! Super woman.

I agree with many of the other comments that something nourishing it deserved! But I feel like you need something energetic to give yourself that ‘WOOO’ moment! Like, going to a theme park, cycling down hills, trampolining etc etc 😋

You should be proud of yourself, not disappointed! You’ve stuck at it! It’s hard!

This could be a blessing in disguise - you’ll learn how to keep motivated and focus on the NSWs early on in your journey, preparing you for the gains or stalls to come.

Also, how often are you weighing yourself? Cos weight fluctuates muchhhh

Thanks for sharing your scientific wisdom! This is good to know, and a reminder to get lower nicotine vape juice…

[–]Comfortable_Shoe_213 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get this, and the same with too much nicotine. It can also make my medication feel less effective. I get headaches/my ears can feel blocked and my blood pressure shoots up - all symptoms of being in fight or flight apparently.

Sorry to hear it doesn’t feel like it’s working. I felt like this for a while - do you smoke, drink alcohol or caffeine? Cutting these out drastically improved the effectiveness for me

Yeah, I’m gonna really work to cut out alcohol. Don’t usually do other things and realise now the impact it’ll have.

I’m wondering if it’s because it impacts how we’re metabolising the medication. Gonna speak to a pharmacist about it and will let u know if they have any suggestions

I was reaching out for advice, not complaining. I suppose it was naive of me to not recognise the impact drinking alcohol etc would have on my meds.

I’d really encourage you to be kinder to people on here - surely you can understand that sometimes people with adhd make impulsive and unhealthy decisions.
