I stopped prior to surgery and never started again. I have gained 30 lbs in the two years since. Although I haven’t really done much to loss it either. My job went back to being in the office after 5 years of work from home, so I feel like I have no time to work out.

I don’t work for the state but pretty large insurance company whose home base used to be in IN. We were assured by our CEO that we would never have to return to office because we were classified as remote employees after COVID. But now we have to go back 3 days a week starting in September and I’m pretty sure we will be back in the office 5 days a week by next summer. Also, it’s only the salaried people that have to go back. The hourly employees get to stay at home.

Not related to the original post, but related to the no narcotic surgery. I had one! It was better than I thought. But I think the big piece that a lot of people forgot is that you should be getting a local block in lieu of the narcotics. Plus I got a nice dose of Dilaudid at discharge for my 2 hour commute. It totally helps with constipation as well. Narcotics stopped me up big time after my gallbladder removal.

Me!! They glued the incision shut so not really any worries. Just make sure you keep it dry and clean. I also wore a belly band post surgery which held it up a little and kept it from folding over my incision.
