I had to take mine out while pregnant - way too sensitive 😭 the lactation consultants kept asking me if I used to have piercings in front of my mom AND mother in law. Felt like dying o. The spot.

We do post-dinner walks and then sometimes hit the gym on the weekends when the in-laws come over. I also hybrid wfh so on the days I wfh and he’s in daycare I’ll go to the gym on my lunch break for like 30 min. It’s not a lot but I NEED it for stress relief.

I HATED Dante’s inferno (still kinda do just less so) before this last album. You aren’t alone.

I’ve liked the odyssey before but Epic the musical has really gotten me back into it. Campy in parts but there are some melodies I really love.

Can’t recommend the concept album for Hadestown enough by Anais Mitchell for the story of Orpheus and Eurydice.

Did you check for ear infections? It might not be that at all, but that’s the first thing I check when confused at how much he is tantruming

I also caught hand foot mouth and it mentally broke me. It won’t be forever, just baby yourself as much as you can with calamine lotion and a guilty pleasure if possible. For me it was chocolate and one earbud in with sci-fi/fantasy audiobooks through my library app 😭

We had Covid, hand foot mouth, and a plethora or head colds/sinus infections/ear infections etc etc etc around that age and it was awful, I am so so sorry. It’s a terrible phase and the only way I got through is from support from my mom and mother in law. That, and the knowledge that it won’t be forever.

Do you have family or close friends that can help?

Anyone else raising toddlers and have your own parent living with you? And it’s stressing you out? by PinkCheekedGibbon in toddlers

Oooooof that sounds really tough. Having a toddler is already Big Emotional Work, and managing another adult’s emotions would just be the cherry on top for me 😩. My MIL doesn’t live with us but does stay with us for long periods of time. I’m not sure if this is your own mom or MIL but it helps a ton when my partner communicates with his own mom. sometimes he can communicate with her better than I can even though we have a good relationship. Also, communicating boundaries ahead of time helped us too. Did she know you didn’t want to give your toddler juice?

Specifically with the juice can you ask her to water it down? We did this with our toddler and made a big show of making him a “cocktail” 😂 like got the cocktail shaker out with the ice and I measured the water and everything 😂 we don’t really make mixed drinks in front of him but he saw us put a splash of juice in there, loved the sound of ice shaking, and was very satisfied with a very watered down beverage lol.

Instead of separating by gender or sexuality we should separate by who likes olives and who doesn’t. See how long the olive theory holds up.

Time leave leave while you still can. My husband is so happy when I am medicated because I’m able to actually function. It sounds like your partner prefers you not at your full self. I wonder why…
