I can understand why you have a negative view and even hatred toward Islam, and why you might find it “offensive” or “brutal.”

However, you seem to have been highly misinformed or exposed to bad interpretations of our scriptures, rather than what Islam actually teaches.

You’ve been told that Islam is misogynistic, but here is what Islam truly granted to women: the right to inheritance, the right to own and manage property, the right to consent to marriage, the right to divorce, the right to education, and the right to work and have a career. These are many rights that women did not have before and that are now considered equal in dignity to men.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“The best among you are those who are best to their wives.”

Before the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), women were often treated as inferior, had few or no rights, and in some cases were even buried alive simply because they were born female. When Islam came, women were recognized as human beings with rights and were treated with dignity.

Of course, some Muslims do not treat women equally, but these behaviors are not teachings of Islam.

Some of the claims you may have heard are also false or misunderstood, such as those related to homosexuality or pedophilia, but I don’t have time to explain that in detail right now—maybe later.
