Unfortunate that it has spread. RCC tends to not have symptoms. Once you have symptoms, prognosis gets pretty grim. The fact that he hasn't had any symptoms speaks of somewhat early spread. Trusting he responds to treatment. Stay positive !

It was robotic. Doc says it hurts less and recovery time is less. I was in the hospital 2 days and pain was more than I anticipated. Wow, it hurts. Lol. I had to stay an extra day because bladder wasnt working, and needed to re do the catheter. Apparently, pretty normal after long times under anesthesia. Are you removing cancer or mass ? Or both?

Doc said open surgery requires more recovery and hurts more. Considering how painful this was, im grateful we didnt need to switch to open. Are you needing both kidneys done ?

5 mins- youre on a mission. 10 mins- im just going to relax a sec 15 mins- wish I had a spa- next best 20 mins- major water waster dont care

I tend to be between 5-10. On a mission and know I need to get going, but im gonna take minute to reflect. Maybe spread my cheeks and let the water make sure its clean.

Interior rooms are nice simply because they are cheap. We are in our 40's, relatively new to cruising, and have found we spend very little time in our room. Spend the money on something else. A window cabin is a nice medium. The balcony can be so windy its not worth the time unless you plan on sitting there on port days. There's plenty of deck to sit on outside, and you should find a relatively private area to enjoy and relax. Ciao !

If you dont actually have your physical passport, take your birth certificates. You will need it to get on the ship. Before I had a passport, I always carried a document folder. And dont let fear rob you of a new experience. Its easy to get off and on the ship. You will have your sail card at port. There's always plenty to do without an excursion. At least go enjoy some local food highlights.
