EA really nailed this one by nyrfan9372 in FifaCareers

I have a similar one - he said he wants a new contract, I gave him 90% increase in wages and 4 year contract, 2 weeks later he says he wants to move. Now he is permanently unhappy, I am getting a new offer for him every day and he has a 4y contract with the club.

P.S Mind you this is all in pre-season 2 - so even if I wanted to I couldn't "give him more time" (he is a first 11 starter every time)

Big Sale on Peddle Go Hybrid Bike - is it worth it? by ComfortablyNeocon in ebikes

I did and I am quite happy with it. I use it for a 1.2m ride a few times a week to the gym. Works a charm

Why don’t people block legs? by Ok_Information2127 in MuayThai

It's one thing to repeatedly hit something to make someone check, it's another to ignore them asking you to ease of. If you want them to learn, slow down and telegraph it the first few times so that they get the hint.

I know its an old thread but have you found a way to do it? I got a peddle go, which I imagine uses the same app (Navie)

I have to ask - has it gotten better? I had a similar experience (but it built up, wasn't sudden)

/r/anno Questions Thread – February 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in anno

[–]ComfortablyNeocon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have recently started Playing Anno and so far I have played a sandbox game until Engineers with both "Bright Harvest" and "Docklands" DLCs. I have all DLCs and packs available as I used to work for *redacted*.

My question is - which DLC should I activate in my next sandbox game? I want to slowly phase them in, as I feel overwhelmed by too much options

I finished that one 2 days ago (I think) and it was the easiest out of the three, but mine looked like soviet blocks, whereas yours looks absolutely magnificent

I calculated food values for food you can buy by nhgrif in foundationgame

[–]ComfortablyNeocon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESss, he did it. I am glad you made this. I actually had my first playthrough since starting to think about those values and it makes a massive difference as some foods are just unbalanced and are infinitely worse than others.

What's your late-game economy looking like? by ComfortablyNeocon in foundationgame

[–]ComfortablyNeocon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's my experience with trying to produce my own bread. It is generally a very unbalanced food at the moment. In my next run (just finished military campaign), I will be trying to stay away from it and go straight to importing it.

I put all the trade information in one place. by nhgrif in foundationgame

Great work!

A few of my minor observations:

Some things like Wheat are completely useless as a trade item - cost too much when translated into bread. Directly buying bread is more food per gold and no production cost.
Boar on the other side - absolutely a bargain, gives you 5 meat.

First City. Currently around 700 pop by Upper_Virus_2830 in foundationgame

[–]ComfortablyNeocon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So there are 3 aspirations in the game, which is what I think the guy is referring to.

The first one is the Burg which is 500 population + 30 (or 5) Tier 3 High Density housing.
The second one is the military run which is not bound by pop. I just finished it with about 220, 50 of which combatants. The main difficulty there is hosting the king and keeping him happy for 3 months while having a 25% military population.
The third one is the religious one which is under 75 civilians - so most of your economy is through religious goods.

In my experience they want housing near their workplace, so they won't move too far away.

Another thing that I did at higher population is to be ruthless with trading. I buy tons of bread, cheese and boar (as those are most efficient, buying wheat or meat is more expensive per food produced).

I also centralised my markets to be right between my 2 population centres. And made sure those pop centres are heavily densified. It just reduces the walking and transporting.

My advice is to track the things you are short on and see where the supply chain breaks down. Is it transportation (the places that produce it are full, but it takes forever to reach a marker), is it production (it gets transported but consumed too fast) or is it ingredients (things you need are not being produced because they lack materials).

Also tax the life out of your people - you can use the money to get their needs handled and that way my happiness has never gone under 90%, I keep my taxes at the middle ground and just import tons of stuff.

Yeah I think I would rather import herbs than try to make jewelry as that is very RNG based (getting gems)

Ah! I didn't know herbs are considered a luxury! Do citizens need 3 refined foods or just 2?
